Description for Chevrolet C-10 1974

This listing is for a 1974 c10 pickup. The truck you see here started life as a long bed that had a camper in the back. The tail gate was in a box when the truck was purchased due to the camper size. It was not driven often and stayed most of it's life in a yard till it was found. For starters we shortened the bed to proper short bed specs. No guess work. We modified the lower front control arms with a cup so we could get the truck extra low and leave plenty of room for the bag so it does not rub anywhere. Used bell tech 2" drop spindles to get it down the rest of the way. For the rear. we used the stock axle. We triangulated the 4 link and mounted the bags over the axle. Made the notch just tall enough to clear the axle with it sitting as far down as we wanted it and boxed the frame where it was shortened. Used the stock driveshaft and had it shortened in the 2 piece configuration to fit the needed length. New Monroe shocks front and rear. The air bags are controlled by an AACUAIR switch speed system with 2 compressors. a 5 gallon raw finish tank. exo mounts and the VU4 manifold. The air system is mounted under the truck cab on the driver's side frame rail where the saddle bag gas tanks use to be. The battery is installed on the pass side rail where the tank use to be as well. The motor is a 350. NOT the original one. It has an MSD distributor with high powered coil. new Edelbrock carb with electric choke. Weiand intake and Weiand high flow aluminum water pump. Billet Specialties belt drive system with a new 110 amp one wire alternator and new Saginaw power steering pump which also has a new pressure line and return line to the factory steering box. The headers are a set of clipster headers for an s-10 swap from speedway with 2. 5 outlet. 2. 5 flow master exhaust all the way out to a set of turn downs with a set of flow master 44's and an H pipe just behind the trans for that expected rumble. The exhaust stops under the truck just in front of the rear axle with a new set of rubber hangers. The radiator is a new 3 row brass/copper with new hoses and a 1400 cfm electric fan with an adjustable thermostatic switch. The trans is a 200 4R with unknown miles using the factory column shifter. Fluid was clean when we got it. Still is. Shifts great. The TV cable was replaced with a new cable and housing. For the brakes. we used all stock parts. The master cylinder is new and the rubber hoses for the front are as well as the steel line to the rear hose which is also new but not recently replaced as the rest. The booster is the stock power unit. The fuel system is all new. Carb. gas tank. lines and hoses. Even the clamps. With the bed being modified we deiced to use a wood floor. so we used 2x1 square tubing and 1" square tubing. built a frame. and attached the bed strips to that. We used 3/4 weathered plywood to keep the look correct. The bed floor has a lip built into it at the end for use of a ramp. We wanted to be able to haul our motor cycles too. The tail gate hides the filler neck for the fuel tank. The wheels are 20x9 rear and 20x8 front both with a 4. 5 offset. The tires are a new set of Toyo Extensa 245 40/20's. For the interior. it is all stock. Untouched. Didn't think it would be right to replace stuff in there. Has the factory rubber floor mat and the seat belts were still wrapped in plastic tucked behind the seat when we got it. The dash has been cut for an aftermarket radio unfortunately. Right now the speedo. temp. and fuel gauges are not working. The speedo has a new cable but needs the adaptor into the trans. The plastic gears are stripped. The temp gauge has a new sending unit but still doesn't work. I think it is the gauge itself. The fuel gauge has a new sending unit too. So I am not sure on that one. I have not tried replacing the gauges yet. The wiring is all factory with the exception of the sending unit wire. alternator and electric fan wires as well as what I added for the compressors which run on a solenoid shut off by the ignition switch and fused with a 70amp lead. This is a very solid truck. With the air set up. it drives like a Cadillac. Smooth. Not bouncy. Loaded or unloaded. I have included a few pics of it during the build so you can see how components are placed. There it is in a nutshell. If there are any questions just ask. PLEASE don't be that douche that isn't serious about the bid! Deposit in 24 hours and full remaining payment within 7 days of auction close. Shipping is your responsibility. I am heading to Las Vegas NV soon to get a car and can haul it that far if you are that direction for a minimal fee. Let me know. Truck is for sale in other areas and I will cancel the auction if it sells. Thanks. Happy biding!
