Description for Chevrolet El Camino 1968
Up for sale is my 68' Chevy El Camino. This car was delivered new in South Carolina and spent its life there with just two owners until Feburary of this year.I purchased the car from the second owner. This is a rust free car with one repaint in its original color Butternut Yellow. This is a very well preserved original car.The paint is exceptional, ice shine, no major blemishes or damage. The worst thing I can say about the paint is that there are a few runs in the rockers and lower fenders, these can be sanded out and repaired or you could paint the lower sections black like an "SS".All of the moldings are original and some have holes drilled that are not supposed to be there, these are easily replaced, all of these are readily available on the aftermarket. The bumpers are straight and look presentable, but are not show quality, again easily replaced for around $300 for the pair. The vinyl top is perfect and has recently been replaced. The bed is in excellent condition with the exception of some flaking paint on the floor.Glass is excellent. Wheels are original 15x7 rally's with original trim rings and center caps. The tires are in good condition.Inside this car is mostly new! The sea. arpet and door panels are new, looks really nice inside. Small cracks in dash pad not bad. Original am/fm radio is not working. Please note this car is all stock, no gaudy aftermarket add ons, very well kept not hacked at all.Under the hood is highly detailed. The engine is a 350 and I never checked to see if it is the original. The odometer reads 27, 09 and I'm sure this is not the correct mileage but I believe it is 127, 00 miles. It is equipped with factory air conditioning, that is currently not working but it is all there intact and the compressor is free. Most people would say " Just needs a charge" I don't want to say that because Im just not sure. The transmission was rebuilt this Feburary as it was damaged by the transporter. " He tried getting the car off the carrier without releasing one of the tie downs. (You can't make this stuff up) So he cooked the transmission and I had it completely rebuilt by a local very reputable shop. The car is equipped with the original 12 bolt rear.My overall opinion of the car is that it's a nice driver quality car with potential to be a show car with minimal cosmetics. This would be a great father /son daughter project because you can drive and enjoy it and the work needed can be performed with minimum skills and knowledge. Please understand that I was very critical in my description because I want the buyer to be completely aware and satisfied with this car. This is a very nice respectable muscle car. This vehicle s being sold "As is where is with no warranty expressed or implied" Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding and bid confidently knowing that I have always had 100% feedback. I take the time to explain my listings with the most accuracy possible.I require a $1, 00.00 non refundable deposit within 48 hours of auction end and the balance within 7 days by cash, balance transfer or PayPal only.If you do not agree to any of the terms listed please do not bid. Feel free to contact me and I will answer all questions as honestly as possible and Happy Bidding!
