Description for Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 1969
Here’s a decent original 1969 Chevrolet short wheel base two wheel drive step box pickup. Mechanically. it’s excellent. It’s original inline 6 cylinder engine runs smoothly and quietly without any smoke or leaks. The clutch. pressure plate. and throw-out bearing have been replaced. Its original 4-speed transmission with granny gear low operates smoothly and quietly and shifts exactly as it should. The drive-line has new universal joints and the rear posi-track differential. an unusual factory option for this pickup. nbsp;operates smoothly and quietly too. The brakes have been rebuilt on all four axles. with new wheel cylinders and brake lines as needed and new axle seals on the rear. The valve cover. side cover and front seal were recently replaced so the motor is dry and clean. All ignition tune-up parts were recently replaced: points. condenser. plugs. wires. etc. The battery and battery cables have been updated and the carburetor has been rebuilt and works perfectly including the choke. This pickup was ordered with factory power steering which works perfectly. It also has a heavy-duty cooling package. an option noted on the identification sheet inside the glove box. The tires are excellent. well balanced but not period correct. The hubcaps are probably to a 1977 Chevy pickup but originals are available on eBay regularly. You can drive this pickup anywhere safely and reliably. Body-wise. the driver’s side rocker has some rust as do both cab corners. It has been cut out and is ready to have new patch panels welded in. Unfortunately. I am old and have been seriously ill and am unable to complete it. All glass is perfect. Both side windows roll up and down smoothly and both vent windows open and close as they should. The original dash pad is excellent. near perfect in fact. and the original instrument panel looks nice and all the gauges function properly. The odometer reads 64. 69 and is believed to be correct. The wipers. head and taillights. back up lights. signal lights and dome light work as they should. At one time it had an after-market radio; its face-plate is long gone. Speakers were surface mounted on the lower inside of the doors. They’re probably no longer functional either. As you can see. this pickup is equipped with the optional side-mounted spare tire and a rear step bumper. It’s original chrome front bumper is decent as is the grille surround. I have another nice original 1969 Chevy grille surround I’ll include with this pickup if its next owner wants it. The wood bed is intact but dry-rotted and needs to be replaced. Both front fender Chevy-10 emblems are missing; these. too. are regularly available on eBay. The original seat was recovered at some point. While in decent condition. it also is incorrect. The original floor mat is presentable with some cracks in the rubber. All pedal pads are present and in good condition. The heater control panel works perfectly and all knobs are there; none have been broken. What appears to be genuine GM but is probably an after-market ammeter gauge. was added at some time and works. I think this pickup was purchased originally by the Cascade County (Montana) Weed Control Department. It’s the color they used to use and a two-way radio antenna. like county vehicles used to use. nbsp;was added at some point. You can see its base on the right rear of the cab. I purchased it from an acquaintance whose last parent passed some time ago. Although garaged and undriven for some time. nbsp;this had been their family pickup. I purchased their car. too. a 1995 Buick Century with 50k miles. also continuously garaged since new. Whoever purchases this pickup will be extremely pleased with the accuracy of my description. Please view my 100% positive feedback. especially with regard to expensive items. and bid with confidence. I live in one of Montana’s larger cities. Three automobile transport companies are home based here. I can get this pickup shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states in a reasonable time period. Please email me for a rate to your area. I am a licensed Montana used vehicle dealer. license number 02U014. I have been in business and continuously licensed for many years. I am bonded and insured and have never had any type of infraction against my license. I have clear. merchantable title for this pickup and will properly reassign it upon full payment. I prefer a $1000 down payment via PayPal and a bank money wire for the balance. This pickup is fully insured while in my possession. Thanks for looking and God bless!
