Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1969
1969 Camaro with an all aluminum 489 cubic inch Donovan 500 block backed by a new Muncie 22 4 speed and 4.11 posi rear. The car has been in my possession for the last 26 years and has been driven less than 100 (one hundred miles) miles in that time. The car is currently running a freshly rebuilt with zero miles, all aluminium Donovan 500 block with 8 new sleeves bored to 4.280 with Weisco 10.2:1 pistons and Callies forged 4.25 crank. The heads are new, zero miles, Dart Pro1 320 cc heads with 2.25 intake and 1.88 exhaust and new, zero miles, crane1.7 roller rockers. New, zero miles, Lunati ProMod 6.385 connecting rods, new melling oil pump, new steffs custom oil pan and new, zero miles, Donovan gear-drive and Donovan head studs. Holley 950 with billet plates. Comp Cams 286RX mechanical roller cam with an rpm range of 3200-6200. .727 intake lift, .729 exhaust lift, 108 centerline. Flywheel is a new, zero miles, SFI approved Hays 30lb 14" pressure plate and a new, zero miles, nbsp;McLeod dual disc clutch rated to 1, 00 HP with hydraulic throw-out. Bellhousing is a new, zero miles, nbsp;Lakewood blow-proof bellhousing and new, zero miles, tilton starter. Transmission is a new, nbsp;zero miles, Auto Gear Super Muncie 22. Rear is a standard 12 bolt chevy posi-trac with 4:11.1 with Competition Engineering Slide-A-Link traction bars. Radiator is new Chevrolet 4-core heavy duty bent-neck that came on '69 COPO's. Headers are ceramic coated Hooker with Flow Master aluminized exhaust. Intake is a 1966 Chevrolet '069, with no plunem divider from the factory.
Body was re-skinned twenty years ago with Chevrolet New-Old-Stock panels, including full rear quarters, front fenders, front and rear valances and fully functional ZL-2 cowl induction hood. Paint is Concepts 3000-Hugger Orange. The paint is about fifteen years old but looks new with the exception of a few nicks, car has never seen rain in the last 26 years, always stored in the garage. Original floor pans with only a few pin-holes in the rear divers-side that were brazed. Interior is mostly original including all seats and seat padding. Deluxe white houndstooth, door panels have been replaced with aftermarket.
The car started out life as a 6 cylinder/glide and blue/blue. At one point the car was hit directly in the rear and bent the frame rails, the rails were straightened but not replaced. You should expect to put a little time in sorting out the car, the new master cylinder/distribution value/proportion valve needs bled, the differential pinion seal is leaking. the motor is brand new and only has been broken-in and the new clutch has not been used on the street. Car runs but I have not driven it with the new clutch, no test drives. Plan on bringing a trailer as I will not allow anyone to drive this vehicle until it has been sorted/sold.
I would encourage serious bidders to view the vehicle in person, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
