Description for Chevrolet Caprice 1966
Most All Of Our Auctions End Early Call Us For A Great Price 865 988 8088Up for sale we have a 1966 Chevy Caprice. This was the top of the line for a Chevy. It had a new grill and tail lights. You could order it with the bucket seats and console for more of a sport look. The one we have for you has that package along with the Matching Numbers 396 Big Block. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior interior and heartbeat of the Chevy but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned operated and own our entire inventory no consignments and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information pictures or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Caprice. The body is laser straight with great lines and good fit of the panels. Everything is covered in Black base clear that has been buffed and polished to a mirror finish. At the time of the paint they took the time to do the jams and inside the trunk. New bumpers have been added as well as other chrome. When you look at the glass and stainless it all looks good. To ensure a good fit they replaced all the weather stripping. The finish off the look it’s sitting on a new set of 18” and 20” American Racing Wheels and Tires.
Next we will take a look at the interior of the ’66. On the inside it’s done in classic black with the wood grain trim. It has the bucket seats that are covered in vinyl along with the rear seat and door panels. The console is the factory style with the T handle floor shift as well as a set of factory gauges. When you look at the dash it all looks correct with the Am Radio and padded dash. This is a factory A/C car as well and it retains the factory seat belts.
Finally we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it has the Matching Numbers 396 with the stock breather and valve covers. It’s mated to a 400 Turbo Trans and the Stock style rear end. For driver comforts it has Factory Power Steering Power Brakes and A/C. When you look under it the floors are solid and don’t have any visible signs of damage and the frame is solid.
