Description for Datsun Z-Series 1976

Estate sale - I don't know much about this vehicle except that it has been garaged and not driven for 15 - 20 years (closer to 20) - The gentleman that owned it was a friend of mine who became sick for a long time before he passed. Apparently something broke on the car and he decided to drive something else and just stored this car in his garage. We never talked about this car.
Th Vehicle does not start. Most everything looks to be original, but I don't know this car) - it doesn't look like many changes were made except the entire glove box is missing. He wasn't the type to make changes to a car but he apparently installed some kind of aftermarket radio under the missing glove box. There is junk in the back where the hatch is but I can't see in the back too well because I don't have the key to the hatchback door. I believe mileage to be what is indicated on odometer because my friend just parked it when it probably needed repair. He stopped driving it about the time my kid was born (about 20 years ago).
The tint on the windows is peeling off. There are a couple small spots on the car where the paint has completely come off and the metal is showing dark brown but is not rusted through anything, t's just dark. See picture of the door. The tires are flat. See pics. The dash is cracked and has a dash pad on it. This is a California car and has never left CA.
It just looks like things were untouched on this car for a long time. Body looks pretty good from what I can see. I looked in the engine and didn't see any rust. I didn't see rust in the wheel-wells that I checked or on the inside of the doors. No way was I going under the car with the spiders. I couldn't pull up the carpet nor could I look under the hatchback because it was locked and the key I have (only unlocks the car door and goes into the ignition), idn't work in the hatch lock. I had to move lots of stuff in the garage to get to the car, ut I still was unable to get good pictures of it.
Possibly restore or part out. This appears to be a complete car except for the glovebox. Wheels look pretty cool.
Car has to be towed away on Saturday Sept 12th as the home is being sold. Late Friday or Early Sunday "may" be an option depending on the circumstances. The tires are pretty flat
Sorry that I can not show the car to individuals because I live 400 miles away and I will only be in the area for a short time.
I do not know what is wrong with the car, do not know why the owner stopped driving it. It does not start and has been sitting in the garage for a long time. Possibly purchase to restore or part out.
Full payment is due (and cleared by my bank) before car is towed away by new owner.
I will have to remove your bid if you can not have it towed on Sept 12th. 2015. I am flying in late on the 11th, nd leaving the area on the 13th.
Please don't bid if you can not arrange to move the car by the date above. Thank you for looking.

Please email me with your questions and I will try to answer them, ut I am not at the car nor do I have access to it right now because I am located quite a distance away, nd I am not a car person. What I can tell you that, n my opinion, he body doesn't look like it has been damaged or bondo-ed, - with all the dirt I can't see really much wrong with the exterior other that the paint coming off and metal exposed on driver door and one other small area I can't remember where. I did not see any rusted out spots.
I can not open the trunk, or some reason, he key I have will open the door lock and goes into the ignition, ut I couldn't get it to unlock the trunk. I didn't see any rust but you car people know where to look, didn't. I couldn't pull up the carpet to examine the floor, t was really stuck down. I don't notice if it had air conditioning but it does have roll-up crank windows. I don't know what the entire seats look like, only pulled the cover off one seat and that's what I took a picture of. I never drove this car. I do know that it's been in the garage for a long time and lets just say, knew more about cars than my friend....which isn't much.
As I am the administrator of the estate, have taken all of the required paperwork (including report from the vin verifier required by the CA DMV stating the numbers are good) to the DMV, aid the fee for title and expect to receive a clear title next week in my own name, ot the previous owner's.
I have to say, uying a purchase like this on ebay is kinda like going to Vegas. You go with the money you want to spend on entertainment. Sometimes I lose my money, ometimes I break even and sometimes I win. I hope that who ever buys this car will get what they imagined the car would be like as I've described it the best I can according to what I saw. I have made big purchases on ebay ($16,000 2 times) and understand the risks, hope you do too. I'm certain you can get lots of money from selling the parts, font>(I love the wheels), ut mostly, f a person wants to fix it up, hope it will be awesome.
