Description for Datsun Z-Series 1975
Third owner 1975 Datsun 280Z. I have many documents from the cars past as well as receipts for everything listed.NO junk. The car spent its life in Colorado and Kansas before my ownership. It has been always garaged and there is very little to no rust, this is a very nice body. There is surface rust on the undersideand the frame rails are dented, but I have new Bad Dog rails included. Starts every single time, first turn of the key! The car has been driven less than 500 miles since the swap. I'm selling because I don't have the time to invest that the car needs and the guilt is killing me!
I have many more photos showing how clean the car is as well as videos of the car running. Email and I'll send a dropbox link.
Many other original or period parts are included:
-Extra taillights and surrounds
-OEM newly recovered seats
-Extra set of 14" Shelby wheels
-OEM door panels and extra armrests
-Emblems, seals and misc parts
-4 speed transmission
EVERYTHING IN REGARD TO THE SWAP WORKS AS IT SHOULD. And it’s fast. And gets attention. And it's loud and scary!
The Z has been garage kept for almost its entire life and has not seen rain or snow for the past 4 years. Previous owner
repainted the car in a very close factory match blue approx. 6 years ago. There are a few dings and the paint blistered on the roof from the PO's niece setting something on the roof before the paint was cured.
What the car has from front to back:
MSA front air dam (unpainted)
Shaved front bumper (custom bracket with hidden fasteners)
Genuine Marugen Shoukai flares from RHDJapan, painted gloss black by Royal Works. These fit like a glove.
Fender were cut, welded and primed, with Rivet Nuts and button head sockets.
CUSTOM one-off American Racing forged wheels, model VN477, satin black 17x9 and 17x9.5
Brand new Continental Extreme DWS tires 245/45-17 front, 275/40-17 rear
Custom yellow “continental” tire letters

Dapper Lighting HID headlights (high and low beam)
Clear headlight covers (not installed)
Champion aluminum radiator
Dual Perma Cool fans controlled by the ECU
JCI A/C compressor and bracket with hoses
ALL Speedhut gauges (Speedo, tach, oil pressure, fuel, temp and voltage)
New dash cover (this is temporarily installed as I was not sure if I was going to restore the original dash)
Skillard aluminum door panels (originals included)
Broadway wide view rearview mirror
Grant 3 spoke steering wheel
Dakota Digital gear position indicator
Genuine Lotus Elise seats (front uses OEM slider, passenger is fixed). Passenger side does a small tear as shown in the photos.

New water pump, oil pump, timing chain, starter, rebuilt injectors (Oside Tiger), fuel pump (MSD), fuel regulator,
(Corvette regulator and filter) Sanderson ceramic coated headers, MSD plug wire with heat boots, braided AN fuel line, PSI harness,
new valve cover gaskets, intake gasket, silicone intake hoses, K&N filter, LS6 converted valley cover, new starter
3” into 2.5” all stainless, tig welded exhaust with Vibrant resonator and Magna Flow muffler, all connections are V-bands.
Transmission:
Professionally rebuilt 4L60E transmission and torque convertor (less than 500 miles), OEM Camaro shifter with custom welded
and smoothed shifter box housed in trans tunnel, custom solid brass shift knob (looks like a manual),
shortened shifter, JCI drive shaft, OEM rear end. The rear suspension is stock for the most part with exception of
T3 coilovers and all poly bushings.
What needs addressed, please read this carefully. This is my opinion ONLY. You may feel different:
Car needs an alignment as I just installed the lower control arms and “adjusted” them
Rear main seal has a very slow leak (this was to be addressed this winter, but here we are)
The body has some small dings and is not perfect, but close. Previous owner let his kids park bikes next to it
in the garage. Roof has a blister from PO owner (see above).
The exhaust should be reworked and raised up with flexible hangers. It does on occasion make contact with the rear end and motor mounts. Because the car is so low big bumps will cause the exhaust to scrape.
Speedo needs calibrated, it's close but not exact.
Louvers were installed therefore there are holes in the hatch from the screws.
The antenna is broke (I have a new that is included)
This car can be a daily driver in my opinion.
I have a clean and clear title in my name ready to go. I am happy to answer any questions you may have and would be happy to talk over the phone. There are no warranties express or implied. Vehicle is sold as is. $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction end or the car will be relisted. If you can't pay, don't play. I will work with you if you would like to have the car shipped.
