This is a very cool and unique Datsun PL521. I bought it originally to fix up as an "art" truck. nbsp; but I am no longer able to realize that dream. I also need a car that can accommodate multiple carseats for the grandkids! I love this truck. and I'm going to miss it when it's gone :( but I've been without wheels for two months and I'm tired of bumming rides from my kids. and I'm sure they're tired of me bumming rides from them. too. haha. I need to sell this so I can buy a new little hooptie to get around in for awhile. I'd love to see it go to someone who has the time. patience and skills to bring out the best in this Datsun project. so that this cool truck can reach its full potential!My truck has a nice. straight body. with very few little dings. very minimal surface rust. and a great bright blue and white patina. It has a lot of it's trim. a heavy duty metal rack at the front of the truck bed. and an extra heavy duty bumper with tow ball in the back. I have receipts for all the work that my mechanic and I have done on it since I bought it in 2011. and I also have the receipts for the work done by the man who sold it to me. This vehicle was originally purchased in Farmington. New Mexico. in 1971 and I have the original owner's manual with all that information. and that will come with the truck. also. This truck comes with some great stock items like:rare radio deleteoriginal wheels and dog dish hubcapsoriginal keys n locksoriginal tailgate chainoriginal wiper fluid bagoriginal jack and handleIt also comes with an extra transmission that my mechanic harvested some parts from and a NIB master cylinder that I didn't end up needing. I have replaced some parts myself fairly recently. so it has fairly new carburetor. starter and alternator. It also comes with some larger wheels and tires on it--two of the tires have been replaced in the last year. In the pics I've posted. the hood ornament is still on it. but it has since fallen off. I have it to go along with the truck. though. It also has a different. newer battery than pictured. Everything I have related to this truck will come with it in this sale. It has a definite engine problem and runs a bit rough and moves sluggishly. but it can still limp around. Perhaps it has a valve/cylinder issue. or a head gasket issue??? Before this engine problem. the engine ran like a champ and I used it as my daily driver. it's been my only vehicle for three years and gotten me around pretty dependably. The interior is in rough shape. as I never got around to doing the seat. dashboard and visors. This truck is sold AS IS and you will have to arrange to transport it yourself. This truck is a definite project. but I love it. and I know someone else will love it. too. It brings a tear to my eye to sell it. but I have to admit I don't have the cash or the skills to bring my dream to fruition. so it's time for me to let it go!
