Description for Dodge Charger 1968

**1968 Dodge Charger R/T - Original 440 Magnum - LOW RESERVE!!!**

Up for auction is a rare #'s matching1968 Dodge Charger R/T. This amazing piece ofMopar historywas a1-Owner California Carfor almost its entire life. The past 5 years it has undergone a total rebuild. It's approximately 85% finished. I had previously listed it with a race built 383 Magnum. However, o keep the price down, 've decided to sell it without the 383.There are a few things left to be done, ut the costly items have already been taken care of and I have almostall of the parts new in the boxto finish her. These vintage R/Ts are becoming harder and harder to find, ven more difficult to find in this condition. I alsohaveall of the original partsthat were replaced during the build and will include them with the car upon transfer to her new owner.

The car will come with the original #'s matching 440 Magnum HP. It is complete from original carb to oil pan, isassembled and ready for inspection. Power is transferred to the ground through a Centerforce racing clutch, rebuilt A833 4-speed transmission and a rebuilt posi trac differential (3.23 ratio), lready installed in the car and ready to go.

The car has a custom rear spoiler and custom rear flares, hat combined with its aggressive cowl hood, ives it somewhat of a Nascar look. The Pearl White paint job on the car is 4 years old, ut shows well. All floor pans and body panels have been professionally repaired. I have posted pictures of a couple of spots that needs touched up.

  • It has one chip in the paint about 1/2 the size of a dime on the driver door, couple of very small scratches on the same door and a small ding on the driver side fender that need to be touched up.
  • She could use a good blocking out with some 1,000 grit and a good buffing.
  • The hood will need painting to match the car, o that would be a good time to do any touch-ups.
  • Spots on ground in pics are wet spots from washing car. I have posted several pictures of the car and pictures of the new parts that need to be installed as well as a picture of the original 440 block that shows the numbers on the block match the VIN. I also posted pictures of the original crankshaft, riginal intake manifold, riginal exhaust manifolds, riginal carburetor, riginal radio, nd original bumpers. I also snapped a picture of the collection of parts that were replaced in the build. Too many parts to take individual photos, ut if you would like me to take a picture of something in particular, will be happy to do so.

In addition, have all parts that were replaced during the build. I also have the original bumpers that can be re-chromed if returning the car back original. Below, have listed:
