Description for Dodge Coronet 1968
Overall an excellent running and driving example of a 60s station wagon. Has a 440 under the hood which gives it plenty of pep to get it moving, 18/20in wheels give it a cool cruiser look. Though it looks to be a "rusty field find", it is actually a very straight and nearly rust free car. The "patina" is basically a faux patina with the paint being sanded down in spots to get some natural rust look. It would be very easy to repaint if you did not like the look of the "patina". If that is something that is desired, we have quotes and would be able to do that for you prior to picking it up. I have chosen to keep it as it sits as I like the look of it myself. It does turn heads. How many of these 1968 Dodge Coronet wagons are left? Who knows, but this is an excellent nearly rust free example. Low miles listed on this (but cannot confirm if actual), power rear window is still working, seats recently recovered inside, and straight body. US Mags set off the look with staggered 18" fronts and wide 20" in the rears (20x10). I have the stock rims available if you would prefer. Under the hood, the 440 has been refreshed recently, and starts up and drives easily. As with any older car, there may be needs (I am almost as old as this casr and the list of needs I have is even longer!). The headliner needs replaced, not all there and it looks to be original. Rear wagon area could stand a weekend of detailing (painting) to make it look as good as the front and rear seats. Also, the rear tail lights are not operational, and I have not traced that yet. Likely another couple hours of tinkering would get this done.
