Description for Dodge Coronet 1958
This 1958 Dodge Coronet represents one of the most distinctive cars of the tailfin era. So to have in a cool two-tone (inside & out), plenty of great chrome, and upgraded V8 power all makes for a very attractive classic. And that's before you saw the affordable price. These Mopars were so cool that Dodge had trouble keeping these cars in stock when this generation first arrived on the scene. And today those same attributes make it... such a memorable classic. The designers used bold sheetmetal elements and artful trim to draw extra attention to the car. You see it in places like overhang on the headlights and the tailfins that look like they are taking flight as they rise out of the rear fenders. Plus, this trim also makes for a terrific dividing lines for the two-tone blue and white. Even the classic whitewall tires fit into the color theme! Double wraparound front chrome bumpers, intricate taillight surrounds, and polished wheel covers complete this very cool and very bright package. The overall result is this one still represents the 1950s perfectly on the outside, and does it with the kind of distinction that will keep people talking long after you drive away. Inside, the blue, white, and brightwork theme continues, and it gets even more stylish. You see it in places like the intricate door panels and the classic texture on the cloth seat inserts. It has a great vintage style, but there have also been the right investments to keep the fundamentals feeling fresh. So if your friends and family love classic motoring, this one really impresses. In fact, the only hints that there might be an upgrade under the hood are the auxiliary readouts and the Lokar floor shifter. The blue block and valve covers make this motor almost look stock in this honest-looking engine bay. But those who know Mopars will start to recognize the signs of a terrific upgrade. That's because this one houses the mighty and powerful 440 cubic-inch V8. More than just serious displacement, it also has other performance additions like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake. It has been well maintained, including a newer alternator and battery. So it fires up nicely as the stainless dual exhaust deliver the rumble of extra power. And because you're going to want to show off this Coronet everywhere, it also comes with the right driving features. This includes a stout Torqueflite A727 three-speed automatic transmission, modern treads behind the classic whitewall tire design, and front disc brakes. This is a very cool Mopar offered for an outstanding price. So don't miss you chance, call today!
