Description for Dodge Other Pickups 1979
This is the perfect truck for the person looking for a survivor Little Red Express Truck! Basically. this truck has been in storage for the past 25 years! It is rust free awaiting new paint. It has the original 360 engine that runs like a top. It has the original 727 automatic with the LRET 2500 stall converter. The Little Red Express was the fastest production vehicle made in 1979. and this truck will prove it to you. When you are ready to go. mash your foot on the throttle and HOLD ON! It is a BLAST to drive and turns heads where ever it goes! It has the black interior with the split bucket seat option. and a new seat cover is included from Dodge Connection. It has factory A/C which is not charged so you can decide if you want to keep it original. or update to the newer refridgerant. It has the original AM/FM stereo and the dash has not been cut up. but is all original. The wood in the bed is the original wood painted red with the truck. but is due to be replaced. Included is new oak wood so you can decide if you want to keep it the original red. or stain it. The wood on the box and tailgate is original and could be sanded and revarnished to keep it original. or used as a pattern to cut new pieces. The exhaust stacks are original. in excellent condition. but will need new pipes and tips. It has the original wheels that will be perfect with new plating. The exhaust stacks and the wheels are the hardest parts to find for Little Reds. Here you have the originals!Parts? I bought this truck on ebay in 2007. and since then I have accumulated a lot of parts. It was my intention. to restore this truck to original. showroom condition. I bought a lot of parts from Dodge Connection. and a lot of used. original parts. In random order. here is a list of parts that go with the truck: NOS parking brake cables. OEM door weatherstrips and glass guides for both doors. Dodge Connection OEM seat cover. used AM/FM/8 track tape player. used factory volt and vacuum gauges with bezels. used factory tachometer with bezel. used "Tuff" steering wheel. NOS EGR tube. used exhaust manifolds. (the original owner put headers on the truck). Dodge Connection OEM exterior and interior screw kits. radiator overflow tank. washer fluid tank with pump. used limited slip center section for the rear differential. repro door decals. 1979 Dodge Truck Shop manual. 1978-1981 Dodge Truck Parts manual. OEM air cleaner decal. 1979 laminated Dodge Truck wiring diagram. I might have missed something. but it all goes with the truck! The Little Reds were only made in 1978 & 1979. and they were the fastest production vehicles both years. There were only 5118 1979 Little Reds. so there aren't many left. You will look long and hard to find another one this pristine for restoration - and it certainly won't have all the parts!!! The 360 engine was specially equipped for the Little Reds. including special cylinder heads. intake manifold. connecting rods. pistons. etc. The 727 automatic transmission was "beefed" up and fitted with a special 2500 stall convertor. Add the "stacks" and wheels. it's no wonder the Little Reds grabbed attention wherever they went. And they went FAST!!!You won't be sorry for buying this truck. I would encourage you to come and take a look if you can! If that is not possible. please email me at investwithmark@hotmail. com if you need a picture. or have a question. The tires are old and weatherchecked. but hold air just fine. so loading on a trailer or transport is no problem. The truck is for sale "as is" and I have tried to be honest and upfront describing it. The buyer is responsible for shipping. but I will help get her loaded. or work with your transport company. No. I do not need help selling my truck. If you have a buyer for it. go ahead and bid and you can sell it to your buyer. Thanks for looking.
