1959 Fiat Abarth 750 Record Monza GT Zagato.

Extensive restoration of a seasoned VSCCA vintage race car, wned and raced for 30 years by the seller. Complete mechanical restoration including fresh, orrect 750 engine. Fresh paint in red on a corrosion free body and rust free chassis. Original Zagato interior. I purchased the car in 1985 in Rhode Island. It was a street car that had never been raced. The car raced in VSCCA and VRG, ainly VSCCA from April, 987 to September, 011 with much success. The car won its' class in the 1989 Vintage Fall Festival. The best time for the car at Lime Rock was 1:14. It was one of the quickest racing Abarths in the Northeast. About 4 years ago, decided to retire the car and bring it back to its original state. It is a perfect street driver, qually at home or on the track.

INTERIOR: The blue interior is original. All door panels, ide panels, nd headliner are the original pieces that came with the car when new. The seats were restored and covered with the original pattern. Luggage tray behind the seat is new. The original one comes with the car. Carpets are new. The original rubber mats are also included with the sale. All the interior rubber parts are new. Steering wheel, auges, witches, nd dash lights are original. All aluminum parts were professionally polished. Any chrome parts that needed to be re-chromed were completely refinished. All glass is original, ith Securit numbers IGM1273VP and 3-11-55 AS2 stamped on all. The rear vent window is glass and the vent flaps are operational. Door window mechanisms have been cleaned and painted. The door opening and closing mechanism has been painted and checked. The driver's side outside door lock works and the keys are included.

BODY: The body is aluminum and was stripped by hand, repped, nd sealed. After sanding, t was painted, anded, nd buffed. Hood and engine covers inside were left bare showing the aluminum finish. Doors open and close properly and have correct gaps. Polished aluminum bumpers are original. All trim pieces are original and have been polished or re-chromed. The trim around the windows and rain gutter has been polished. The floor pans were replaced on both sides because of metal fatigue under the seats. They were done by EDP Enterprises of Acworth, H, SA.

SUSPENSION: All suspension was removed and rebuilt. Front leaf spring taken apart, leaned, nd painted. Proper rubber strips were put between all leaves. All bushings were replaced. For racing, front spring centering bar was added to help maintain suspension alignment under hard cornering. Koni adjustable shocks (as original) were tested and painted with original decals installed. I have the original Konis that were on the car when purchased that will go with the sale. The front wheel bearings were replaced and packed. Rear suspension was cleaned and painted and coil springs were checked. All wheel rims were stripped, hecked, nd painted. The tires on the car are Yokohama, 45x12 - 372 series.

BRAKES: New master cylinder, heel cylinders, nd all new brake lines were installed. The car has original drum brakes all around. Brake shoes are a competition compound. All springs on backing plates were replaced.

TRANSAXLE: The gearbox is the original D-style without emergency brake. It is one of the first of the Abarths with a D-style gearbox. The gearbox was resealed and checked. Stub axles are fine splined and have been tested for cracks. The clutch has a new disc and new clutch cable.

FUEL SYSTEM: The original fuel tank with all new fuel lines is connected to the original Weber Type 32IMPE carburetor, erial #18201. There is an electronic fuel pump under the front tray with 2 fuel filters.

ELECTRONICS: All wiring has been checked, leaned, nd dielectric grease installed on all contacts. All lights including signal lights are functional. Windshield wiper motor removed, leaned, nd checked. Windshield washer bag is original with new lines and plunger. The generator and starter were rebuilt and tested. The regulator was tested with the generator.

COOLING SYSTEM: The radiator was cleaned and flow tested. All cooling hoses were replaced. An auxiliary aluminum racing radiator was installed under the car as original.

CURRENT ENGINE: The engine currently in the car is a 903cc Fiat 850 engine that was purchased new from Alfa's Unlimited, orfolk, T, SA. Engine facts: Reverse rotation competition camshaft. .040 pistons with Deves rings. Full floating piston pins. Rods polished. Distributor drive shaft gear oiler installed. Cylinder head in excellent condition, orted, nd polished to match exhaust and intake. Rocker arms polished. Carburetor is a Weber, riginal to car. Distributor is Abarth with tach drive. Air cleaner is original. Headers and muffler are the original with the tips re-chromed. External oil filter. This engine was made to look like a 750 engine. The 903cc Fiat 850 engines were widely raced in SCCA H Production and have proven to be extremely reliable, owerful replacement units in 600 Fiat based race and street driven vintage race cars.

750cc ENGINE: This spare engine comes with the sale. The bore is 63mm. Venolia custom pistons. 903 crankshaft. Polished 600D Fiat Rods. Crankshaft was magnafluxed and checked. Cylinder head ported and polished. Correct competition Abarth oil pan.

SPARES: The car will come with a custom roll bar approved by VSCCA and VRG. Both the 750cc and the 903cc engine. 4 Dunlop race tires, 50x12 — 204 series. Some miscellaneous spares included.

Car is currently registered in Rhode Island.
