BECAUSE LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO DRIVE A BORING CAR!!! The Classic Car Gallery 2316 Fairfield Ave. Bridgeport, Ct 06605 203-446-3477 1951 FIAT 500 C TOPOLINO “Restored, wonderful condition, Registered in Fully documented, Connecticut. Lovely Car, only 55,480 Kilometers!! VIN 276266 Motor number 280521 The car on offer here is a 1951 Fiat 500 C Topolino Trasformabile. The car was sold new in Pistoia, Italy and has remained in the Tuscan province ever since. In July of 2018 the car was purchased and brought to the United... States. It currently lives in Connecticut and has a clear Connecticut registration. The car was refurbished in Italy five years ago by the son of the second owner. It was repainted in its original color, received a new soft top and the interior were restored. All mechanical systems were restored or refurbished. The 569cc inline-four and the 4-speed gearbox were rebuilt. The radiator was replaced as well as the brakes, and more. Additionally, this Model C received a new suspension, exhaust system, steering box, and had the head rebuilt. Invoices and photos documenting the recent work performed are included, and the car is being sold with a clean Connecticut transferable registration along with all of its original Italian paperwork. Five years ago, the car received a bare-metal repaint in its original Verde Chiaro (320) and new rubber seals and vinyl piping along the fender joints were added all around. There are two tiny touch ups on the rear trunk lid. The sheet metal is straight with no bondo or rust. The doors close solidly with correct panel gaps and a new outside door lock was recently installed. The sunroof frame was disassembled, and a new black vinyl top was reinstalled. A new set of hubcaps and Vee Rubber V329 tires were purchased. Inside, new grey cloth upholstery was installed. The fabric is in good condition with no rips or tears, though some mild staining is evident on the outside seat bolsters and door panels. New rubber floor mats were added and shows some slight fading in places. The chrome trim on the dash shows some pitting, most notably on the fuel/oil pressure gauge bezel. The gauges function properly, and the odometer shows 55k kilometers (~34k miles). The factory 569cc inline-four engine is paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. The motor, gearbox, and radiator were rebuilt five years ago, and work included new bearings on the front steering linkages and new wiring.. The head and bolts were professionally skimmed and rebuilt, a new complete exhaust system and steering box were installed, an alignment was performed, and the heater linkage was rebuilt. We have driven the car; it performs as it should. The brakes and master cylinder were replaced and the suspension was refreshed by the seller with new shocks, springs, bushings, and sway bar. Invoices for all the parts and labor, and photos of the work done are included, along with some original registration documentation. This car is currently registered in Connecticut and is sold on a Connecticut Bill of sale. Make sure that you can register the car in your state BEFORE buying this car (Connecticut registrations are generally accepted in all 50 states but your own inquiries). Feel free to call 203-446-3477 or email if we can answer any of your questions.
