What do you get when you combine the aesthetic traits of a show-worthy street rod with the drivability of a modern hot rod? This incredible Ford Model A! With the universal appeal of high dollar eye candy, nd the road going prowess of a late model cruiser, his slick sedan is a well built custom that provides its owner the best of both worlds. And what's better: you can have your show stopper and drive it too for a fraction of the money and time it takes to complete a ground-up build. If you're an anxious buyer who's tired of the 'garage furniture' culture that seems to pervade the classic car hobby, his stunning Ford is one of the coolest road-ready hot rods your money can buy!

BODYWORK/TRIM

This clean custom's taut Bruiser Enterprises body began life as high quality, and-laid fiberglass that was worked, haped and cured into a lean, ong and low profile. When the car's current owner took possession of its smooth and solid shell, e promptly added thick primer and soothing gray single-stage. And in the fall of 2014, his Ford hit the scene as a banner showpiece that mixes the skill of experienced fabricators with the integrity of experienced builders.

When it comes to details, his sultry sedan mixes just the right amount of pre-war charm with high quality, 1st century enhancements to produce spinning heads and gawking fans. At the front of its body, color-keyed spreader bar hangs amber Unity driving lamps in front of a polished grille and chrome-trimmed, ual-mode headlights. Behind that grille, steel Chassisworks firewall anchors a sophisticated hood in front of a stainless-trimmed windshield that's equipped with a small traffic light viewer. Behind that visored glass, haved doors and 2-tone mirrors frame a tinted greenhouse, color-keyed fuel filler and Teak roof accents. And at the back of the car, culpted taillights illuminate a bright tag bracket above a louvered roll pan. Stepping back, ts safe to say the car's profile combines the clean, imple look that's typical of classic, enderless hot rods with a number of rat rod accents. And overall, ts first class build integrates the greatest attributes of both old and new into a unifying vision that establishes a lasting impression.

ENGINE

Check this custom's gray engine bay and you'll find a mean, 50 cubic inch BluePrint Engines small block that's good for 273 rear-wheel horsepower and 358 lb./ft. of tire-twisting torque. At the top of that Cast Silver mill, finned air cleaner forces wind in to a coated Edelbrock carburetor that's fed through a small pressure gauge and polished Edelbrock canister filter. At the base of that carburetor, n aluminum intake hangs an aftermarket HEI distributor between finned, enter-bolt valve covers and proven Vortec cylinder heads. At the base of those covers, igh quality MSD Super Conductor plug wires snake around jet-coated Sanderson Twister headers. And in front of those headers, tough AFCO radiator utilizes a big SPAL puller fan to keep the engine cool and the driver confident. Aesthetically, oth the monochromatic mill and its assortment of bright accessories seem right at home inside their smooth frame. And details like trick dipsticks, fabricated coolant tank and a fresh Powermaster starter ensure this classic runs every bit as good as it looks.

DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION

In keeping with its 'impressive but functional' theme, his first class Ford rides a custom-fabricated chassis that's been fully worked and professionally powdercoated. The smooth 350's power flows in to a rugged 700R4 auto that was rebuilt by Rincon Transmission of Rincon, eorgia. That 4-speed spins a familiar GM 10-bolt that, hanks to Powertrain Inc. of Savannah, eorgia, wists big, .70 gears. At the head of those heavy duty components, Pete & Jake's Super Bell axle makes good use of familiar hairpins, widened spring and a traditional, anual steering rack. Opposite that rack, 4-bar rear half features tough coli-over-shocks. That suspension counters the engine's grunt with Wilwood-assisted Borgeson discs and drums. All that hardware rolls on 16-inch painted steel wheels, hich spin staggered Coker Classic whitewalls around snazzy "V8" center caps. And a Tanks Inc. 16-gallon fuel reserve provides plenty of range while a Class II hitch provides plenty of hauling capability.

INTERIOR

Take a look inside this custom and you'll find a spectacular street rod interior that, ike the car's striking exterior, as been carefully pieced together. At the center of the cockpit, unt's handcrafted bomber seats anchor small, inyl pads under sturdy Sparco harnesses. In front of those seats, sculpted Chassisworks dash hangs crisp Auto Meter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite telemetry around satin air vents and controls for the car's Vintage Air climate system. Below that dash, ike-new carpet floats a long Lokar shifter and aviation-themed consolette amid trick foot pedals, hick Lizard Skin insulation and diamond-plate kick panels. At the sides of that carpet, lectronically actuated doors hang power-operated windows behind thin trim, peed-drilled pulls and louvered frames. Above those doors, tight headliner frames a small mirror, small dome lamp and Teak roof bows. In front of the driver, simple Sparco steering wheel laps a traditional Everlasting turn signal switch. And behind the passengers, chopped storage nook anchors a modern battery and small tender behind a sturdy, olor-keyed roll bar.
