Description for Ford F-350 1994
Extremely clean vehicle. This has been my baby for several years. I am the second owner. Always carport kept. Perfect. mint? Heck no but could be made perfect with very little work. This was a Michigan truck and it has chassis rust but it is not deep at all. Could be easily scraped and repainted with good chassis paint. Springs have been retempered in last 5 years and will really take a load. Bilstein shocks all the way around. Have Maxxis Mudder Buckshot tires in like new condition. Just replaced front calipers and new brake lines. Yes it has the E4 OD tranny but that is quite a story. when I bought the truck I took it to Scheid Diesel in Indiana to have Banks Exhaust. Banks turbo upgrade. K&N air cleaner. injector pump tested and rebuilt. new injectors. etc and they blew it. I left the truck for a week for the work to be done. I went to pick it up on Friday afternoon and it wasn't done. They worked until 8:00PM that night and finished it up. Only on problem! When they were reassembling it they pinch a wire that went to FIPL switch under the injector pump. My girl friend drove it 350 miles home in transmission default and toasted the tranny. I took it to Jim Blatt at Lee Myles Transmission in Parkersburg. WV and had him rebuild the tranny. Jim had been to Ford Schools on the E4 OD tranny since the good old boys in WV were toasting the E4 OD's pulling dozers. etc. So Jim did the job right. Heavy duty oil pumps. heavy duty clutches. shift RPM controller. heavy duty cooler. etc. I'm not a tranny man so I don't know all he did to it but please be free to call Jim at 304-428-6020 and ask him about Dr. Dan's truck - he can explain why he says. you will never blow that tranny. He had it on a dyno and it will pull 23. 00 pounds however he said you will never stop that load. LOLOn to engine. Engine is perfect. It uses no oil (of the 14 quart oil capacity). It does have several Banks Engineering up grades. Put their intercooler. exhaust and turbo upgrade on it as explained above. Lots of nice turbo whistle keeps me from listening to the radio. It's a strong engine! Gets 14 MPG whether its pulling a trailer or not. I also want to keep track of turbo temperature. transmission oil temp and of course turbo boost so I added a pillar gauge panel with all ISSPRO gauges. I must explain. I'm in a wheelchair and can't handle any breakdowns so everything has to be perfect. I don't haul heavy loads but do pull a 7 X 14' enclosed trailer thru the mountains when going to Cape Hatteras and a 21 1/2 ' boat locally. Never had any engine or transmission problems. Oh I forgot it has K&N air cleaner so she gets good air. Dual tanks with changover switch on dash that works perfect. As you can tell by the milage I haven't used the truck a lot. I'm told that the 7. 3 Liter Turbo Diesel is good for 300. 00 miles. I'm also told that the new Ford engines are junk. Why they ever quit making the 7. 3 must have something to do with the government. It was the best engine they ever made. Interior is fairly mint. Now rips or seams busting on upholstery. Few small spots that probably will clean right off with good upholstery cleaner. No cracks in plastic panels or dash board. One of the best things I like is the side windows have the little vent windows that open so you can turn them on to keep a nice breeze going in summer. Rear window is a slider that works well. It is wired and has an Serius XM radio which I no longer have a subscription to but it should work fine. Floor boards and carpet are fine. No rust through at all. I might mention I have hand controls and a seat on left of drivers seat which goes up and down to enable me to get up into the truck from a wheelchair. It also has an electric crane in bed to lift a electric cart into the bed. I'd like to take them out when selling the truck if they aren't needed by future owner. Air conditioner wasn't blowing cold this summer but I'm sure it only needs a Freon recharge. To mount all the switches for handicap lift they had to replace the left door panel with a custom panel. I'm sure OEM panels are available to bring her back to perfect stock interior. On to body. The body does have a little rust here and there. I can't see any deep rust or rust through anywhere. I've posted dozens of pictures of anything I see. The aluminum trim strips in the wheel wells have corrosion on underside but the exterior still looks good. There are a couple of very minor dents. Nothing major and she's never been in a wreck. It has a beautiful pin striping job. Done by a guy in Michigan. Love the vintage look. I'm a hunter and use the truck for Maine Bear hunting so stupid me I put black plastic over the chrome trim strips on the side of body. well when I pulled masking tape off to remove it some of the striping came off. It's actual paint striping no tape so it could be touched up. The grill and headlight trim was getting skanky so I replaced them two years ago. This truck has been an ongoing project. When it needs something I fix it. Never wanted to do a total refinish because I didn't want to lose the striping and if it was perfect I wouldn't want to hunt with it for fear of scratching it. Hell it's a truck! So why am I selling it? It's a bitch for me to get up into with the electric cart and I'm getting old. I also am into boats now and have a brand new pontoon boat that needs the carport for a winter home. I also have an ARGO 6X6 so I don't really need it for hunting. A couple years ago I found a 2002 E-350 Turbo diesel van on eBay and have it all fixed up so I still can get my daily diesel fix. Doesn't have the power of the F-350 since it's near to impossible to find Banks upgrades to fit in a van engine bay but oh well - it seems to pull anything I have to pull. I know this is a long mouthy thing but I love this truck and want her to go to a good home. A body man came by a couple weeks ago and said damn you still have that truck? I told him yes. I told him a guy offered me $15. 00 cash last summer and he told me not to take it. He said that truck in it's condition is impossible to find. He said I should get $18. 00. Well I'm listing for $15. 00 reserve and see if anyone seriously wants this truck. It was built when trucks were real trucks. I get compliments on it every time I take her out. And oh what a pleasure to drive. Love that turbo whistle!!!Enough said. Good luck bidding. Payment: Cash or Certified Bank Check Must be picked up at my home. I failed to mention. This truck is fully accessible for those who use a wheelchair or electric cart. It has an electric Braun lift in the bed which will pick up a wheelchair or cart and swing it up into the bed. It also has a power platform which folds down to transfer onto and lift you up to the drivers seat level. Real easy for cart users. These accessibility items are easily removed for those who have no need for them. Great truck for disabled people who want to pull a camping trailer. If you have questions message me and I can give you my phone number. Thanks
