1934 Ford Coupe Cars like the 1934 Ford 3-window Coupe will never go out of fashion. The looks are to die for and when you're driving it, ou're somehow transported back to a time long past. Speaking of the past, his coupe closesly resembles the car from the hit 1974 TV movie "The California Kid". The mileage is even the same! You could never build one one for the price a clean, ow-mileage example such as this.

Bodywork & Exterior Trim This well cared for 1934 Ford Coupe has a full fiberglass body with exception for the split steel hood and hood sides. With thick resin throughout and no waves or imperfections, he classic look and design of this 1934 Ford Coupe is sure to impress. There are subtle tweaks that help give this car it's clean appearance.
This is the third owner since the completion of the build and it has spent it's life in a climate controlled garage. The car is used occasionally to go for a short drive or visit the local cruise-in. While not being used, t's been meticulously maintained and covered. The paint is in excellent condition and shows extremely well. The only known defect on the exterior paint is a small spot on the front/lower driver's door (I have included a picture in the linked gallery). There are no stars or stress cracks anywhere to be seen.
The car is painted in gloss black with multi-color flames extending along the hoods and sides of the car. All of the pinstriping on the car was completed by ‘Yosemite' Sam Radoff; a world renowned painter and builder of hot rods and motorcycles (check it out...Cool stuff). His marks can be seen at the front of the driver's side hood and on the rear valance below the trunk lid. Another handle ‘The Kid' can been seen on both doors.
This car rides on classic 15"American Racing Torq Thrust wheels with a polished aluminum finish and polished wheel spinners. They are wrapped in Yokohama A378 tires and they have tons of tread remaining.
The chrome windshield is hinged from the top and opens to let fresh air into the cabin. Other chrome trim includes: front grille, rille surround, eadlamps, umpers, irrors, oor handles and tail lamps. Engine & Drivetrain I do not know many details about the engine, ut I do know that it is a 383 stroker Chevrolet with aluminum heads, luminum intake manifold and a 4-barrel Holley carburetor. It does have a small cam and it starts and drives wonderfully and without protest. The exhaust consists of tubular headers (lower portion is wrapped), ual glasspack mufflers and chrome tips. There is not a crossover pipe, ut the exhaust is tucked up and ground clearance is excellent.
The radiator has a pair of electric fans pushing from the from and there is also an electric fan on an external engine oil cooler. The transmission is believed to be a TH350. It has a shift kit and it shifts smoothly and quickly. The rear axle is either a Ford 8"or 9" ; the differential and gear set are unknown. Chassis & Suspension The body is laid upon a ladder-style frame with rectangular steel tube rails. There is a large X-brace that ties each side together. The rear suspension uses a triangulated 4-link with adjustable coilover shocks. There are even eyebolts on the lower shock mounts for easy securing. The front suspension is a Mustang style with adjustable coilovers like the rears.The car has manual brakes with discs up front and drums out back.Interior Open up the suicide doors and you find a custom-tailored cabin trimmed in a premium cloth material. The modern bucket seats are clean and comfortable and the inlaid design carries over to the door panels. The passenger seat base bolster has two small holes where a spring has poked through. The damage is minor and can be fixed fairly inexpensively. A painted dashboard extends across the firewall and houses a VDO speedometer, ith a trip meter, long with a series of matching gauges (fuel, mps, ater temperature and oil pressure). There is also an accessory/cigarette lighter and it even has A/C! Also located on the dashboard is a Panasonic E850 CD headunit. It's in great condition and has a pair of matching Panasonic speakers mounted behind the passenger seats. The carpets are in great condition and have matching floor mats that have been covered in plastic to keep clean
The steering column is a GM tilt unit that locks and has an integrated turn signal stalk. There is also a custom hub to accept the polished and leather-wrapped Ford steering wheel. Not seen in the pictures is a removable dash panel that hides the wiring on the column. The car also has power windows and as I mentioned before, ir conditioning.
The chrome shifter shaft has a unique shift knob. It appears to be an original shift knob from Chicago's Century of Progress Exposition in 1934. While it looks great, t also has an interesting story. While the United States was still in a deep economic depression, enry Ford wanted nothing more than to show off his products to the public on a grand scale; and that he did! The Ford Motor Company had the largest corporate exhibition at the Century of Progress with a footprint of 11 acres! I suspect this was a souvenir from the exposition or acquired from a marketing campaign.
The trunk is fully carpeted and uses an electric actuator to open and close. The trunk is of decent size and can accommodate some luggage. There is also a spare wire in the trunk that has a carpet cover to maintain a clean appearance.
