Description for Ford Mustang 1971
This is a 1971 Boss Mustang from the Layton Utah area. It's stripped down ready for assembly.
I have the original title from the original owner from 1971. This car blew the original engine early in life and was left to rust. And that it did. I purchased it from someone that was going to make a race car out of it about ten years ago, e had already sold the front clip. I have since acquired a lot of parts for this car. Look at the pictures and descriptions carefully if you're interested. A lot of parts and some of them very rare.
It has a 4 bolt main CJ block with quench chamber heads with adjustable crower roller rockers, lso comes with an original buddy bar intake andaMotocraft quadrajet carburetor and correct Boss valve covers, t also has the correct Ram Air air cleaner with good usable rubber. It has both exhaust manifolds, lthough not boss they are 4V manifolds. The crank is a standard 351C crank, he pistons are forged pop ups, he rods have arp fasteners although any quality engine builder would replace them.
Also a wide ratio 4 speed top loader with bell housing. The rear end is theoriginal Nodular 3rd member with a 3.91 positraction, eaf springs, nd staggered rear shock mounts. The seat fabric is nice enough it could possibly be restored although nothing is left of the Deluxe door panels, xtra headliner bows and good seat belts along with shoulder beltsare also included. This car has the factory fold down seat with trunkpass through.I also have the original steering gear box and the original steering linkage is still connected to the pit man arm.
I have also acquired a collapsible spare that has never been used along with the correct jack. The tires that are pictures the pictures could be originals, lthough not suitable for driving but cool for show. Also the part number is stamped along with the paint dob is on the back of all four wheels. You won't find that on any repop.
The original trunk lid, poiler and front and rear bumper are present. The hood and fenders I found are not rusted at all but the hood will need some work, he fenders have the usual light dents a car almost fifty years old would have. The hood locks and head light bucketsare all still with the car.The doors are nice with no rust, ust a littlepatina, he Manufacture Label is clean and clear with the Vin number clearly readable.
The floors are rusted and cut out, he trunk is removed and another one is included, t will need upper and lower cowl, ower quarters, nd trunk drop offs, lso the right side inner front fender and the top where the inner fenders attach to the coil support have the usual rust spots onthem. The frame is solid and the inner and outer wheel wells are good shape.
I think this car could be completed foranother 15K and then you would have close to a 50 thousand dollar rare collectable. There was only 1806 1971 Boss Mustangs made. I guess if you are still reading this you knew that.
Thanks for looking. Happy Bidding.
