1977 Ford F150 Custom Highboy
I'm selling my '77 F150 Custom Highboy because I have another project I want to work on. I have restored this truck to the point where it is now a reliable daily driver and I have 13k in on the truck now. Reserve is at 9k because I can't afford to lose more than 4k on what I've already put into this beauty. 4x4 works great on it since putting in the new transfer case. 4L, H and 2H work perfectly. Has locking wheel hubs and 35" tires. No AC or heat but I suspect it's just the heater core that isn't working.
The truck has virtually no rust on theundercarriage/frame or body which is rare for a truck this old. The only little bit of rust is on the inside of the door on the bottom left of the drivers and bottom right of the passenger side. It is shown in the last 2 pictures.The truck was serviced 100 miles ago and has had the following done:
Replaced upper and lower ball joints on both sidesNew oil pan and gasketNew brakes front and backRear diff servicedBrand new transfer case
The frame is straight as an arrow and drives very well now that everything has been serviced and replaced to make it a reliable daily driver.
As you can see in the pictures, also took off the door panels in order to to work on the speakers and have the system upgraded. Never got around to it but I have brand new replacement door panels which will come with the truck. I'll leave them off for now for easy access in case you'd like to upgrade the speakers as well.
The motor is a crate motor from Ford. It has about 25k miles on it with many more miles to go. If you don't know about this engine, t is considered to be one of the top 10 engines of all time due to it's "bulletproof" reliability. Most say that the truck will rot away before the engine dies.
After the auction ends and the reserve is met, will work with you on getting the truck shipped. As soon as full payment is made, he title and Bill of Sale will be sent via FedEx and I will send the tracking information.
I will also work with you if you want to arrange to have a third party come check out the truck.
