Description for Ford Galaxie 1966
I have up for sale a 1966 Q code Galaxie. Unlike most of the 7 Liter cars this one was ordered without the 7 Liter trim package. I have not seen another car ordered like this. The interior is very nice the headliner and carpet have been replaced but everything else isoriginaland shows very little wear. The Dash however iscracked. All the interior lights andinstrumentswork as advertised and even the clock works. The wiring has not been hacked up and the radio is still the stock AM unit and works very well. The only addition has been a Tac and aftermarket gauges. The engine is the correct date code 428 Ford did notVINstamp them till 68 I believe. The engine hasEdelbrock Performer RPM power packages which consistof heads, am, 50 carb and dual plane intake. It has a MSD electronic distributor with a MSD control box. Also has a MarchSerpentinePulleysetup.A3 rowaluminumradiator with a 3200 cfm electric fan keeps it all cool. TheTranswas rebuilt and is also date correct has a 2500 stall torque converter. The front suspension has been completely rebuilt and the stock front disc brakes have been completely overhauled.Still has theKelseyHayes calipers and they do not leak! The rearend isa Moser 9 inch with a 3.55 posi diff. The axle was completelypowder coatedand had a disc brakeconversion done.It is regulated thru a SSBC portioning valve. The car was recently painted with its original color Wimbledon white. The front bumper is new and the rear bumper is straight but needs to be rechromed. I have not found any rust on this car. I have an extra steering wheel and an original Hurst 4 speed shifter. I was going to convert it to an R code but a friend talked me out of it.
