Description for Ford Mustang 1966
This is a 1966 mustang convertible 289 v8 c code car needs restoration low reserve. I purchased this car from a old couple in southern Illinois they bought it used in August of 1973 used for the grand price of 450. 0. I have the original bill of sale and the original title signed by the owners. They put it in a shed in 1980 and there it sat rusting way. I was told the coolant was drained and he pulled each plug and put oil in each cylinder and drained the gas tank. My friend pulled it out of the shed and hauled it home for me a few weeks ago. Here is what I know. Before putting this in my garage I pulled out the pressure washer and cleaned the motor and the body just to make sure there where no mice in it. There is no ignition key only a door key. I took a socket wrench and turned the motor about a quarter turn. It did turn but hard I did not want to turn it any further I know there is a process for starting motors that have been sitting a long time and I did not want to screw anything up. Starting from the motor it looks like everything is there nothing has been removed the air breather is in the trunk. No battery. It looks like the frame rails and the shock towers are in good shape in the front. I am not going to describe the body you can see that by the photos. There are a few chips in the windshield. All the glass is there the two back vent windows do not roll up. The top is all ripped up. I think the frame of the top is good. I believe the car was hit in the rear at some point on the drivers side because the bumper is dented. I took as many pictures of the bottom as I could. In my opinion it needs front tourq boxes inner rockers at least and probably more under there. like I said a full restoration. For some reason the interior looks OK I think all the seats and the dash could just be cleaned up no rips and nice color. The brakes go all the way down to the floor I don't even know if there is fluid in the master cylinder. So if you have it hauled you need to tell whoever dose it that the car dose not run and there are no brakes. Looks like the paint is the original color according to the codes on the car. I have a friend that hauled it here for me he has a truck and a 18 foot trailer with a winch he charges $1. 25 a mile up to 500 miles so let me know if you need him. Like I said I set a low reserve I don't want this sitting around my house forever I will need a 500. 00 deposit through Paypal within 24 hrs after sale and full payment in cash money order or wire transfer within 5 days of sale. If you want to use my shipper you pay me in full than pay him his fee when he delivers the car. GOOD LUCK.
