Description for Ford Mustang 1968
Up for bids is this 1968 ford mustang coupe. This car has been sitting up since 1992. It is barn fresh and ready for restoration. I got the car to where it will crank and yard drive. The engine runs good. Does not smoke or have any noise. I think the drive train is good in it. The brakes need a little attention but it will stop like it is. It has the complete A/C system on it. I have not tried to get it to work as I am sure it will need some attention. This car started out a a 6 cylinder car and was converted to a V8 with the complete suspension and everything. Basically other that the number saying it was a 6 cylinder you would never know otherwise. It was a original vinyl top car and we all know what vinyl tops are good for yes rust. When moisture gets traped under the top it will rust. I had to put another roof skin off a donor car on it so the roof has been repaired and was done right so that problem is solved. The body panels are decent on it. There is some rust at the bottom of the passenger rear quarter that will need some attention. The frame rails and trunk floor look good. The floor pans look decent from the bottom. I see a few spots that will need some work but I think you could patch a few spots and be okay unless you are wanting to replace the whole sides of the pan. The torque boxes look good. This is a very complete project. Most of the time you find one that is tore totally down or sitting out in a field but this one is pretty much all together and runs. You could fix this car pretty easy. You can come look at it if you want to. I am not trying to hide anything. The car is located in Jonesboro Louisiana. It will have to be trailered. It can be driven around the yard but is not ready for the highway. This would make someone a great project. If you have questions about it or need more information just give me a call or email me. My number is 318-278-1069. My name is Rodney. As for payment and pick up the car is located in Jonesboro Louisiana. I can store the car as long as needed. I will require full payment be made within 7 days after the auction ends. I will accept cash in person, certified bank check, or bank wire transfer as payment for the car. I will assist in loading but the pick up and shipping is the buyers responsibility. Please serious bidders. It takes time and money to do this. This would make a nice father son project or just a toy to rebuild. It does have a clear title. I will also sell overseas as long as the buyer can pay for it and have it picked up.
