These cars still had the early 30s influence of wide fenders but had a much more refined cab. Their sleek appearance adds a touch of class to the Street Rod look and you just cant beat the how that front end hugs the road. This 1937 Ford Humpback Sedan is a beautiful example of how an awe inspiring street rod can be built without all of the flames. chops. and fiberglass. The Henry Ford steel body is laser straight and has survived over 80 years without rust. damage. or wrecks. Fiberglass fenders were added but the rest is all steel. It is coated in a beautiful Wild Berry Red Metallic that creates the perfect shadowing with the curves of the car. during the complete body off restoration this car was gone through with a fine tooth comb insuring all of the little details were done right. Custom pinstripes ride the bodyline and fan out with graphics similar to gold leaf leading to the 37 painted in sign style lettering. All of this is found under the clear coat giving it a very smooth look that is protected from any external damage. Chrome bumpers are found in front and rear adding the perfect amount of chrome to go with the trim on the hood and grill. Tear drop style headlights are found up front with inset turn signals creating a cool effect. The bent front windshield is framed in very nice stainless and all of the glass is in good condition with a nice tint. With taller tires wrapping the American Racing Torque Thrusts in the rear the car has a slight rake letting you know there is some muscle behind that classy exterior. A nicely constructed 350 V8 starts off the drivetrain and runs extremely well. The engine compartment was cleanly done with a nicely painted firewall and side panels. The motor is dressed up with all Billet aluminum components that have a nice smooth finish. A March serpentine belt system was added and makes the pulley system look very clean. Backing the engine is a Turbo 350 transmission that shifts well with zero issues and sends the horsepower back through the Ford 9 rear end. Power brakes are in place with discs up front for extra stopping power. The TCI independent suspension gives the car a very smooth ride and is one of the best systems available. The interior of this classic is done in a combination of Ivory tweed and leather that looks really sharp. The bucket seats are adjustable and very comfortable when cruising around. They sit to each side of a custom added center console to provide those cupholders people often forget to add to their street rod. The back bench seat is just as comfortable and makes the car ideal for people needing more than 2 seats in their classic. The dash has been very nicely finished out with upholstery over the bottom section and the top painted to match the body. Aluminum accents are found surrounding the nostalgic style VDO white faced gauges. VDO clock. and over the glove box. All of the knobs for lights. windshield wipers. etc were done in a billet aluminum to match. Power windows are in place and utilizes black switches. An after market Vintage AC/Heat system is in place and utilizes nicely mounted vents that are easily adjustable. The AM/FM/CD player delivers a great sound and has a drop down DVD player. A tilt steering column was painted to match and sits in front of the driver topped with a Banjo style steering wheel. A Lokar shifter is mounted to the floor board and moves through the gears with ease. The trunk of the car is nicely upholstered like the interior and houses the very cool custom made Flying A Gasoline battery box. This car is a very beautiful car that always draws a crowd.
