This1969 F350 wrecker was painstakingly disassembled down to a bare frame and lovingly restored to help commemorate the E.H. Holmes Corporation’s 100th anniversary this year. It was completedin early September and has been shown twice. It won the prestigious “TRUCK OF THE YEAR” honors at the F100 SUPERNATIONALS in Lebanon, TN. andwas the equally prestigious "antique class" winner at the 100th anniversary of towingatthe “TENNESSEE TOW SHOW” in Chattanooga(against some very stiff competition!).

During the restoration process, the truck was converted to 4-wheel-drive (all Ford period-correct parts), emulating the Marmon-Herrington and NAPCO conversions of the era. (Ford did not factory-produce a dual-rear-wheel 4wd truck until ’79. If one was desired, it was converted after it left the factory.) The project started with a solid 2wd F350 Holmes 440 wrecker, purchased near Atlanta, Georgia, and some nice, rust-free body parts I sourced from colorado. What very little body rust existed was completely cut out with patch panels properly welded in. All welds were finished as to require nearly no body filler. Everything was done as factory-correct as possible, right down to the manual drum brakes / manual steering. (Both are very easily upgradeded to power with bolt-on parts, if desired and I have a factory power steering / disc brake front axle, which will bolt right in, if the buyer desires.) The only two non-stock items on the truck are the dual exhaust and one-piece wheels (replacing the split rims, for safety and ease of maintenance). The truck has been driven approximately 100 miles since completion. It runs and drives well and the wrecker body (pto-driven) is fully functional. I have the free & clear PA. antique vehicle title in my name.

The Holmes wrecker body has most all the options of the day, including two-tone paint, rear “chevron” striping, bed top hand rails, dollies, work lamps, 4-bulb rotating amber beacon, etc.

I believe this truck to be the one of the very finest of its kind and it would make a proud addition to any collection. The 4wd, quality of build and color combination make it truly a one-of-a-kind vehicle. Definitely not something you see at every car show! The attention this truck gets in public settings is nothing short of amazing. During the wrecker parade in Chattanooga, I was asked to stop for people to take pictures of it many times during the entire route and it received accolades from many employees of Miller Industries (Holmes’ parent company), including from the CEO, himself.

I do not need any help selling this truck, so, brokers need not contact me. The quality and workmanship, I believe, speak for themselves, as well as the financial resources spent on the build. Idon’t need to sell it and am not willing to give it away.

I’d be more than happy to discuss the truck and answer any questions, however, I rarely get to check my email, so, phone calls are best. My name is Marc. Ican be reached @ (484) 895-9870. Ihave or can take more pictures which can be emailed to a serious buyer. In-person inspection is no problem at all, but by appointment.

I reserve the right to end this auction early to sell the truck to an in-person buyer.

I will accept either cash, in-person, or a bank cashier's check. A deposit of $1,000 will be due within 48 hours of the end of the auction. No PayPal on this transaction.
