Description for Ford Custom 1950
For Sale
1950 Ford Tudor, this car was fully restored in the 80’s and very well maintained after the restoration. It has been serviced and driven on a regular basis and always stored inside. I have a complete history of the car dating back to 1985.
Here’s what you get:
Fully restored body, painted black with single stage Deltron 93 black
Rebuilt 226ci Flathead 6 cylinder, with new carb, fuel pump, and exhaust. I will also include any NOS parts that I have for the flathead.
Manual 3spd, shifts great and the linkage is nice and tight.
It has all new wheel cylinders and hoses and the brake shoes are in like new condition.
I rebuilt the front suspension and added 3 inch dropped springs and 3 inch lowering blocks in the rear and put 4 new shocks on, I have the original springs and u bolts if you want to put it back to stock height.
When the car was restored all the rubber gaskets and seals were replaced and they are still in like new condition, no leak no rattles.
It has a complete Lebaron Bonney interior that is in great condition, there is one tear down low on the driver’s side. The windows roll up and down easily and do not rattle when driving. All of the gauges are in working order and the original AM radio still works flawlessly. All lights including the interior work as they should.
The bumpers and grille have been rechromed they are not reproductions, there are a few small dings in the stainless but not significant enough to need replaced. I installed a bullnose and new stainless on the hood, I still have the original hood ornament and it’s in great condition. I also replaced the taillights with an original set of Lees plastic lenses, I also have the original taillights.
The car currently has a set of original steel wheels with bias ply wide whites and 1954 Oldsmobile hubcaps, I also have a complete set of original hubcaps and trim rings.
I will also include with the Buy It Now price the following parts:
Nos Fog Light for the center cone
Complete Continental Kit Painted to match
Fulton Sunvisor Painted to match
1 Pair of Foxcraft louvered fender skirts painted to match (also have an original set that would need to be painted.)
A box of Nos ignition parts, a replacement carburetor, Nos thermostats, new spark plugs, voltage regulator, plus many aftermarket accessories.
New Jamco 2 ½ inch dropped spindles (not installed yet)
New dual master cylinder conversion kit (not installed yet)
I just drove the car to a show in Kansas about 2 weeks ago, it was around 600 miles round trip and completely trouble free at 65 mph and 19 miles per gallon. This is a great road car and extremely dependable. You could easily fly in and drive this car home with no problems.
