Description for Ford Mustang 1970
Here we have a beautifully restored California born Mach I that has seen 1600 miles since it's restoration 10 years ago and is still in perfect condition. In it's first show, it took a First in Class at the Los Angeles Concourse D'Elegance in 2009. The car had last been registered in 1975 when I purchased it about 15 years ago with 63000 original miles. It was a Time Capsule with a straight rust free original body and original paint. The work was done to Concourse standards with a few areas, such as paint and detailing, that exceed the original level of quality to be found from new. I have All documents, Receipts and an Excel Spread Sheet detailing every dollar spent and every part purchased. Also included are several hundred pictures of the entire restoration from start to finish showing the high level of quality and detail. This was not done as a "Flipper" for an auction house, but a "No Cost Spared" car to be kept. I am the third owner and have most all of the registration cards from the mid seventies to date. This was the 6th Mustang off of the San Jose assembly line in August of 69.It still retains the original California Blue Plates and Dealer Frames. Also note this car has not seen water since it was Color Sanded and assembled. It is Factory Optioned with the R code 428 CJ Ram Air Shaker Hood, 3.50 Traction lock, originally optioned with an automatic, but was correctly changed to a 4 Speed Manual (Top Loader Large Input Shaft Close Ratio) shorty after it was new in 1970. Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Tachometer, Tilt Wheel, Sport Deck rear seat, Deluxe Belts, Tinted Glass. It also has Front and Rear Spoilers, Rear Window Sport Slats, AM/FM Stereo Radio, Intermittent Wipers and 15" Magnum 500 Wheels. The original 14" Wheels and Hubcaps are included with brand new Bias Ply RWL tires for Concourse shows.
The engine picture shows an aluminum intake, however the original iron intake is what was installed. The Rev Limiter and Stereo Radio are also currently in place.
