Description for Ford F-250 1977
1977 Freewheeling F-250 Ford. Survivor truck that gets looks everywhere I go. You can get a good deal on this truck. It is being offered with no reserve. The Freewheeling Fords were a package available around the time Ford realized not everyone was just using trucks for work. They were trying to appeal tothe Freewheeling lifestyle of using trucks for recreational purposes.CustomEconoline vansand even Pinto cruising wagons were also available.
The paint on this truckappears to be mostly original, and in good condition for a vintage truck. Photos always make thetruck look nicer than it is.I believe the hood has been repainted as it is in better condition than the paint on the roof. There is a dent behind the right rear tire that doesn't show well in the photos. The truck runs and drives with indicators and lights working. The engine is pretty tired, but gets where you are going as long as you put gas in the truck.
The interior is in pretty fair condition with the drivers side of the seat being the exception. It has a blanket seat covering over the torn original. The seat cushion does not appear damaged.Someone installed a stereo, non-functioning,in the dash and cut the dash panel.
The truck was used in Eastern Washington and Montana throughout it's life. Montana is a dry climate and our winter roads are treated with sand, not salt, accounting for the very limited rust on vehicles. The floor under the drivers feet has a few smallspots of rust through. The floor under the passenger side is rusted through and is squishy under your feet.
Only surface rust in the bed where I've been carrying a long tool box. The bed appears to have had a topper on most of the time since new. There are holes in the top rail from topper mounting, as was common in the '70's.
This 1977 Freewheeling Ford is an unrestored vintage truck. It will need restoration if you expect it to perform or look like a new vehicle. It looks very good in the pictures, but has several dings and scratches. It could run, drive and look better with a full restoration.
Please have your money arranged before bidding. Vehicle is sold as is, where is. Buyer is responsible for transportation. I will meet your transporter if not picking up in person. Title will be transferred to buyer and vehicle releasedwhen funds are paid.
Thank You.
