Description for Ford Ranchero 1967
You are bidding on a 1967 Ford Ranchero XL with the 390-4V "Z" code. This is the rarest 1967 Ranchero you could own. It was the top of the line with the best drivetrain and interior package. The car was originally Vintage Burgundy with Parchment interior. The guy I bought the car from changed it to this color combination. Not sure why, since Vintage burgundy is one of the best colors you could get back in the mid 60's. The car was a black & gold plate CA car. It is rustfree and when restored to it's original color combo would easily be a $25,000 - $30,000 car. I purchased this car off Ebay approx. 8 years ago. The plan was to take everything back to original. I have too many projects, so I have decided to send it to it's next owner. I have several other classics, and want to focus on my first car that I bought in 1970 (1966 Fairlane GT).Now a few details about the car. The paint is shiny, but the bodywork was poorly done with minor dents left unfixed. I bought it from an Ebay scammer out of Arizona who told me the paint job was between an 7-10. Not sure what world he was living in, but it's not a 7-10 in my book. The great things about the car are; it's rustfree, has a great factory color combo, it has the XL interior trim and the best motor package 390-4V. I believe they made less than 300 of this model with these options. You can still see the original paint on the floor pan and frame rail (see pic).I have a low reserve price, so my loss is your gain. To make the car perfect, I would strip the paint, fix the body work, repaint it in the original color, go through the drivetrain and go back to the original interior color. That's where the best value is. The car can be driven as it is though. The motor doesn't smoke but it will probably need a good tune-up since it's been sitting in dry indoor storage for years. It does run and drive though. I will list some better outdoor pictures tomorrow. Please e-mail me with any questions.Good luck bidding.
