Description for Ford Fiesta 1979

Very clean and in mostly original condition German Built 1979 Ford Fiesta Ghia. The car has a clean and clear title. It is a great little runner that I have enjoyed on the weekends. The car has lots of performance upgrades that are subtle and still retains a very unmolested look. All suspension has been upgraded with new performance shocks and lowered sport springs. New SS brake lines. rebuilt calipers. new discs and rebuilt cylinders as well as new brake booster. Also has a new steering rack. uprated intake manifold with Progressive Weber carb and 4-1 header. new cat and full exhaust/muffler. Single exit on passenger side. Motor has lowering brkts also installed. The clutch kit and t/o bearing were replaced by the previous owner and still feels great. Cosmetically. the bumpers are removed. but are included with the sale. New vw crosshair headlights with h4 bulbs retrofitted into the buckets. Plastidipped oldschool prime wheels. brand new 5% tint and vinyl strip all around. I did add a license plate brkt to the front under the grill. the frt plate shown will not come with the car. The original steering wheel is in a lot of original spares that come with the car. An old Gt Grant wheel is currently installed. The interior is in great shape with the exception of the original seat fabric coming apart on the front bolsters. foam is still very good. Should be easy to recover. The rear seat is still intact. rear shelf and carpets are all as they were when it was new. The interior carpet is in good shape. very minimal stains. The dash is still very nice. The "wood" trim is all intact and shows nicely. There is a tiny crack in the edge between the speedometer and middle of the dash. very small and hardly noticeable ( I photo'd it in the album). Passenger door is missing on small pc of trim around the handle. The car came with an AM radio which is included but does not work. I used the original radio holder and added the alpine cd player. It is tapped into the only speaker that came with the car in the passenger side rear. Plays and sounds pretty good for being 35 years old! The exterior is still the original color. The po did try to buff/sand the roof?? I'm sure it had the finish that the hood currently has. The paint cleans up nicely and still shines. The original chrome strip down the side is gone but you can see where it was. I cleaned off all the old adhesive there. There are 2 holes drilled in the pass door for a mirror that is no longer there. The rubber around the frt and rear windows has faded in the center a little bit. The only rust I can find on the whole car are as follows: A small bubble above the driver rear wheel arch. a small hole at the driver floor corner where the floor meets the firewall. a very light spot at the pass frt wheel arch--due to paint that chipped off. its not bad at all. I took pics of all these areas. The worst is the little hole in the driver floor. it is not that large at all. maybe 2" round. The right headlight fogged up when I washed it before taking pictures. cleared right up. it was pretty cold out. Car has been in Middle Tn its whole life and Garaged as well. Both Bumpers and mounting hardware as well as all lights. interior handles and visors come with the car. Also will come with the missing piece of door trim on the drivers door. its in great shape I just haven't been able to find any oem clips to reinstall it. All are in great shape. An extra head comes with the car as well as a couple of boxes of ac parts ( it has been removed. was not working when done so) Car comes with a brand new set of 13" steel wheels and new Falken tires. If you are planning on driving far. I will put the steel wheels on for you. The tires on the 5 spoke black wheels are not that great. I have driven the car on several 100 mile trips since I've owned and have not had any problems. It is a 4 speed so it revs out around 3500 when doing 75-80 mph. Revs out to 6500 Rpm. Has plenty of power and is very light weight!!! Everything works to my knowledge. except the AC (which was removed) and the temp gauge on the dash. The passenger door only opens from inside. I haven't pulled the panel off to see why. All doors do lock and unlock fine. Fans do kick on when its hot. Other that those 3 things. all lights. horn. heat. wipers. rpm gauge. peedometer. everything else is good to go!Here's a link to over 300 pics of the car . you can see all nicks. dings. paint. the little rust areas and all of the interior as well as motor shots:http://smg. photobucket. com/user/turbo2me/library/1979%20ford%20fiesta%20ghia?sort=2&page=1Car is in Nashville.
