Description for Ford Model A 1930

This is a car that is very special. Not many Deluxe's were made and were hard to get at the time, It is a very rare model AND was rescued from the Andes in Venezuela. (must have been shipped in a crate to a wealthy Caudillo.) Cars do not rust in the Andes obviously. It was discovered in a "junk" yard in the middle 60's but only had parts out --that were unobtainium in Venezuela,. Through J.C. Whitney mail order it was revived in the middle 60's and driven for special events and within the oil camp till the early 80's when it went down again. It was shipped back to the states when retired and piddled with but not driven. It has been torn down to the last bolt, powder coated frame and all parts painted or powder coated. Everything is there, upholstery is new for seats and doors, the frame for the ragtop is there but will have to be made when fully assembled (prefabs don't fit or look good). Reassembled by someone who's first job was to work on Model A's. Engine was rebuilt by an authorized Ford rebuild facility for sugar cane irrigation in the middle 80's (A motors are still being used in Louisiana). The only thing remaining is to weld the fender guards (we have them) to the back clip, the doors are primed and the wood frame installed--with hardware installed, so paint doors and install wood frame (we have it) to the back clip and assemble. The motor has been started and run for awhile but not driven. All parts were gone through and if not repairable, new or rebuilt parts obtained. No one will bid the $50,000.00+ in parts and labor that has been spent on the rebuild, Dad had a real personal attachment, passed just short of the finish line. The following link shows many more pictures and the parts to complete, but the majority of parts are for the 1930 Model A ruble seat Tudor that was being restored but is more of a "kit" purchase. The documents we have should suffice to get title under some category almost anywhere, Model A's have been cobbled together since first sold and title lost.
You have to ask by e-mail for the link to the pictures, they won't let you put a link on their ad's.
