Description for Ford Bronco 1978

First off……we LOVE this Bronco and never planned on getting rid of her…. (her name is Big Red). But and unexpected new addition to the family has forced us to get rid of some of our toys. As you can tell by the pictures she is a beautiful example of the body stye Bronco. I think the 78 & 79's are the best years made. I do believe in a few more years they are going to be extremely valuable due to them only being produced for two years and they are getting harder and harder to find especially in this condition. We are the third owners. The previous owner was an 77 year old man and rarely used her. We bought her a few years back and her primary purpose was pulling our center console fishing boat. I would load my family of five. our 20' boat and take her up to Richmond (60 minutes) on the highway at 65 MPH the entire way. both ways. She has NEVER let us down. The back seat makes a wonderful bed for the kids too. Everything works as it should………Yes. I said everything; heat. A/C. lights. wipers. gauges. blinkers…. even the rear power window still works. Thats pretty rare. The interior is in outstanding condition. No rips or tears in the seats or carpet. The exterior is straight with no major dents or dings. I was planning on having her painted right before we found out we were pregnant again. The paint looks good but as you can imaging this is an old vehicle so there is going to be blemishes here and there. The motor was rebuilt a few years back when it was owned by the previous owner. It runs like a champ so nothing to worry about there. nbsp;I've never even thought about having anything done to the motor besides oil changes and belts and hoses. which i did recently. This thing is a runner and sounds awesome with its new dual exhaust. It has a lift kit and 33" wheels on tires. Tires have about 90% tread left. The bad;The hood release handle came off. The cable is still there and all you do is give it a tug with a pair of pliers……. i'll even include the pliers. The A/C may need a charge. It blows cool but not ice cold. We never use it so it wasn't a big deal. We like opening the windows and the wing windows in the summer time. The paint is not perfect. It looks good but it's getting old and could use an update. The Good;Doesn't run hot. Doest burn oil. Everything works. Looks great. Runs great. Pulls great. If you don't like getting thumbs ups all the time than this baby is not for you. I get honks. thumbs ups and huge smiles every time we take her out. When we get out and pank people are constantly coming over to tell us how pretty she is and to reminisce about the Bronco they owned back in their day. I think that about covers it. I may update this as i remember more stuff. Please ask questions or let me know if you would like to come by for an inspection or test drive. We live in Chesapeake. VA 23323. I will assist in any way i can with shipping. Oh yeah. Virginia has a very strict annual safety inspection where they go over everything. Everything must work at the time of inspection. lights. gauges. blinkers. brakes. tires and a ton of other things. She passed with flying colors. PLease check my feedback its 100% positive. I'm not in the used car business or a car flipper. This was our private vehicle and we will be very sad to see her go. We've spend many family vacations in her and have many great memories. God Bless.
