Description for Ford Model A 1930

This is a nicely built 1930 Ford coupe on a 32 chassis done in the traditional style. First let me say that if you have little to no experience driving an insanely powerful race car you should probably let this one go. Just adding up the cost of the major parts on the rolling chassis you will come up with way over $30k and that is without even considering the body. paint. gauges. wiring etc. The heart of this beast is one of the very well respected engines from Big Als' Toy Box. a blown 383 SBC. This isn't your normal home grown 383. The guys at Big Als use their own internally balanced stroker crank so a normal 350 balancer and flywheel can be used. This is also one of the newer designs using a roller solid lifter cam. no more worries about wiping cam lubes due to the lack of zinc. I understand that these folks have sold more than 10k engines to date and this one cost in excess of $13k including the optional aluminum valve covers. oil pan. timing cover. water pump. single groove pulleys and braided hoses with fuel block. Behind this is a Richmond 5-speed overdrive transmission and a Winters V8 Quickchange rear using the old style bells with Dutchman axles and big Ford bearings. The chassis is a So-Cal stepped model made expressly for a Model A body using their own So-Cal pedal. linkage. bell housing kit along with a complete Super Bell chrome and stainless front end with a Unisteer rack. Brakes are Lincoln/Wilson type in front with Buick aluminum drums. Ford Explorer rear brakes including e-brake and a large dual master cylinder. The coupe body is a clean. very solid item that was chopped very well. has a full steel floor including the trunk where there is the fuel tank and Interstate battery. The body retains the fold out windshield and roll down rear window. door glass rolls up and down nicely. A nice set of gauges. minivan seat. clean wiring finish off the interior. Fuel system is stainless with an electric pump and large cartridge fuel filter. Wheels are all new steel items with radials. the rear being very expensive 31-10. 50R15 slicks. you'll need them along with the included ear plugs. This thing is ridiculously loud thanks to the Sanderson zoomies. The Moon tank in front is real and is plumbed into the water pump for added cooling capacity and I understand from the original builder that overheating has never been a problem. The car will have a clear NYS title/registration in my name when sold and if not sold at auction I will be listing the engine alone for sale at a later date.
