Delivered new to Seattle, the car was under long-term ownership in Bellevue, Washington, before being sold in 2002 to a gentleman in Santa Barbara, CA, where it remained until recently. As it sits, this is a very clean, phenomenally well-sorted, and well-documented example of what is arguably the best-looking iteration of Mustang. Exterior: - Please see the video along with the listing, as the car is shown in detail. Blemishes are shown close-up and in direct sunlight. - Light blue metallic looks absolutely fantastic. Suits the car very well, and was clearly done to a high standard. Blemishes are very limited, and include a few chips on the passenger door, as well as a couple tiny, tiny bubbles under the paint towards the rear of the car. - Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free. - Wheels are excellent, with no curb rash, damage, or oxidation. Tires are in great shape at all four corners as well. - Chrome is excellent throughout. No damage, no oxidation. Interior: - Again, please defer to the photos and video. Black vinyl interior is in fantastic shape. No cracks in the dash pad, very little for signs of age throughout. Seats in both front and rear are free of any burst seams, scuffs, or discoloring, and the rear seat does fold down to make way for a respectable amount of cargo space. - Rally gauges are a great look, and the gauges do not show much of any oxidation or aging. Odometer is functional and accurate and reads 88,400 miles. This is correct chassis mileage; the car runs a non-original 302ci V8, built and installed in 1993, with only about 20,000 miles on it. The transmission was rebuilt a few years prior to the engine, and only has about 30,000 miles since. - Radio is functional, as is the fan/heat. No air conditioning. - Black carpeting is in nice shape throughout, and the car will also come with a correct set of black rubber Mustang-branded floormats for front and rear. Under the Hood / Underbody: - Originally an A-code 289, that engine was abandoned in 1987 in favor of a 302, which was then replaced with another, fully-rebuilt, 302 in 1993. - The car runs and drive extremely well. Fly in and drive home without a second thought. It fires right up, idles steady and cool, sounds fantastic, pulls hard through the gears, shifts smoothly, and brakes straight and effectively. The car feels very tight, well-put-together, and confidence-inspiring. It's geared for highway use, with a 3.15 rear end. Going back and forth between third and fourth gear at speed is right where this car is right at home. Not great in the city, but sensational once you're above say 30mph. Quite possibly the most well-sorted Mustang we've ever driven, and there's been many. - Please take a look through the underbody photos, as it's documented in detail. Underbody is fantastic. No rust, leaks, or damage. This car has lived in dry areas, been garage-kept and babied and it shows. The underbody was professionally cleaned and undercoated in 2005, and has held up very well. - This car is turn-key. A ready driver. Absolutely no tendencies of concern.
