Description for Ford Other 1932
This 1932 Ford Highboy Roadster has a slick look and old-school charm. So look over the whole presentation â€" especially that gleaming V8 â€" to understand how detail-oriented this build is. You're looking at a quality Wescott fiberglass body that's been reinforced by steel in all the right places. That's how you get a body that can look this clean and have such tight gap tolerances. This one skips the fenders and shaves the door handles to get...that smooth look that all the top hot rods have. And the best way to showcase these lines is with a bold yellow that was expertly applied to the body and chassis so that they look nearly seamless. And the red pinstriping is a masterstroke, especially because they coordinate with the cool wire wheels. A custom this nice only need brightwork in the right accents like on the front suspension, windshield frame, exhaust tips, Ford V8 hub caps, and rear bumper. Because after all, the best shine is coming from the motor (more on that in a moment.) While the tan folding roof looks terrific in place, we all know a hot rod like this is meant to be open to the world. That's why they spent time with the details. You can see it on the seat where the brown nicely matches the side panels, and it has an alluring contrast with the yellow. They even added an alligator texture on the leg bolstering to give it that extra look of distinction. The dash is particularly clean with just the machine-tuned panel to frame the full VDO gauge panel. And the black dials go nicely with the steering wheel. Plus, while many hot rods just have a nicely finished trunk, this is one of the few that offers a rumble seat â€" perfect for adding more friends or enjoying in a parade. This is a serious build inside and out, and so the engine bay is no exception. You can tell there was a small fortune spent on polished components, and the color-matched uncluttered firewall only adds to the flair. But as you look beyond the award-worthy style, you'll see the substance of a 350 cubic-inch V8 enhanced with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and a hot rod favorite Edelbrock Torker intake. You'll even spot the right supporting components like an HEI ignition and large electric fan. This same mix of high style and the right practical pieces can be seen in the undercarriage. Everything is painted or polished (even the brake components) so that you'll be putting a mirror under this one at car shows. And while you're looking at this, don't forget to spot all the great upgrades, like the polished drop axle front end, front disc brakes, four-link rear w/coilovers, and shocks by QA1. This is a low mileage build that still looks fresh all the way around. So it's exactly what you demand when you want a cut-above hot rod. Call today!!!
