Description for Ford Other 1932
For all-out attitude and a traditional hotrod look, it's hard to beat this 1932 Ford 3-window coupe. Coated in gorgeous yellow paint, it has the look of a bright street brawler, and if it could, it would probably have a pack of Lucky Strikes rolled up in its T-shirt sleeve. This looks like the car every hot-rodder of the '50s dreamed of building, but under the skin it packs 21st century technology that makes more sports car than vintage hot rod.Other than the hood and its side louvers, the entire body is fiberglass, not ancient steel patched back together, and until you've seen one of these high-quality reproductions, you can't imagine how well they fit together. Excellent gaps, a beautiful gel coat that has been properly prepped, and seamless finishing that makes it impossible to tell it apart from its steel counterparts. The vivid yellow paint is straight from any hotrod builder's color chart and gives it a fantastic vintage look that is insanely appealing. A modest chop gives it a traditional rodder look as well, and that aforementioned steel three-piece hood with lots of louvers adds to the '50s vibe. Add in the painted bumper guards fore and aft, the oversized commercial headlights, and vintage taillights, and it looks like this car might have been built in, say, 1954. No matter what you're driving, you're probably going to give this little Deuce coupe a lot of leeway on the road.
In the 1950s, few hot-rodders could afford a fully finished interior, let alone the sophisticated tuck-and-roll job inside this coupe, but this is no ordinary rod. The gorgeous black and white bench offers vastly more adjustability than the original piece, which means this car is all-day comfortable, even for taller drivers. Custom door panels were stitched up to match, and the matching black carpets are nicely bound and finished. There's a full complement of Stewart Warner gauges keeping an eye on the engine, all framed by a gorgeous engine-turned panel that centered inside the painted dash. A beautifully restored black 'V8' steering wheel anchors the interior, as does the 'Moon' shifter just beyond it that manages the automatic transmission below, and the Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo that pumps tune through the speaker behind the seat all add to the high-quality feel and make this car a great pleasure to drive. This coupe also includes a neatly finished trunk with plenty of room for your gear.
There was no messing around when it came time to make horsepower for this Deuce: that's a freshly and professionally built Goodwrench 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 crate motor that was built to run, augmented with aftermarket headers and roller rockers within. Dressed in lots of shiny bits, there are a few tricks like the finned and polished valve covers, custom air cleaner, and an MSD ignition system. A Proform 4-barrel carburetor is set up properly, so the car fires up quickly and runs superbly out on the open road and thanks to a nice cam, it sounds suitably nasty. There's a big aluminum radiator up front keeping the whole show nice and cool, and even with all of these modern components, the engine fits inside perfectly, feeding the TH350 automatic transmission below. Front disc brakes give this Ford impressive stopping power, and with a matching paint job and plenty of brightwork and polished pieces that give the chassis a highly detailed look, it's a shame to take this little coupe off the lift. It achieves a traditional big-n-little look by using vintage Billet Specialties wheels and spinners with staggered white-wall radials for a genuine old-school feel.
Sure, you could build your own, but not for less than this, and you certainly can't duplicate this one's level of fit and finish for the price. And with only 3,885 miles on the build, it's bound to make you very happy for years to come. Call today!
