This truck appears to be a pride and joy to an Arizona gentleman up till a few years ago and it looks like he tried to spend a lot of money on it. According to the VIN tag its original destination was Arizona; indicated by code DSO-75. The motor has a sweet and smooth running 302 V-8 with Automatic Transmission. This is a Box C Arizona Title. not actual miles/miles unknown. The data tag reads: (Body)66B (Color) M (Trim) 42 (Date) 22B (DSO) 75 (Axle) 1 (Trans) 6. The exterior body is really pretty cool looking. sporting a shiny blue finish with accent white marbilization. The finish is appealing but has some imperfections. miscellaneous chips. nicks. and scratches. A cool aftermarket hood was added. which an apparent finish split shown in pictures. The bed floor of the truck was "Rhino Liner" coated and really straight. not all banged up. The engine and under hood was painted to match the exterior. The bumpers and stainless were painted gloss black. to give consistent and attractive look. The driver window jam wind lace in frame was removed. so the glass is unstable rolled down. The truck is missing the rocker mouldings. The underside is ROCK SOLID and very impressive. be sure to see the pictures! Mechanically speaking for a 50 year old truck. it is impressive. The motor appears to be rebuilt and has some aftermarket add ons; an Edelbrock Intake and Carb. headers. and electronic ignition with MSD 6A Ignition box. The motor starts right up. and runs super; the transmission shifts nice and smooth. The DISK brakes seem to be good. The biggest concern and known recommendation would be to replace all 4 tires; they are pretty dry and cracked in the tread and few belts were showing. The headlights. tail lights. and brake lights works! Engine Block Stamping D4DE-6015-BA should indicate a id 70's 302 motor. The interior is not great. not terrible. but has potential. Please see pictures. might be good enough for you. an upholstery hobbyist could do quite a bit with it! The truck was equipped with remote door actuators and the manual handles disabled. Currently the electronic feature is disabled. manual releases are operational. It would appear that the remote battery may be dead. and/or a wire was shorting to the passenger side. Should be an easy problem to solve. The opportunities are endless with this Ranchero. personally a little tedious work done and not a lot of money will make this fine driver. However if you want to do a Ranchero Restoration. you probably can't start with a better one. What you better count on: Tires. some weather stripping. a little detailing. and some local miles to troubleshoot any problems that could arise from a car that has been sitting for a few years. Maybe for those seeking a project. what a great start with this bone dry solid truck! These quality 60's Ranchero's are becoming fewer and far between every day. Plan on driving it right to a local Discount Tire and put some new rubber on it. AAA wouldn't hurt either. just in case.
