Description for Ford Mustang 1967

Hello. I am relisting this mustang for sale. I had 2 no payment listings recently. decided to keep it and changed my mind again. It does not get driven like it should and should be enjoyed. The car was originally a six cylinder fastback. It was changed to a period correct 289 Jasper motor and then to the 306 Ford Racing motor it has now. Lots of pep and fun to drive. The car has a new Chris Alston Chassis works front tubular suspension and Wilwood slotted/drilled front disc brakes. It also has a new Ford 8 inch rear with 4. 10 posi gears. Tires bought new. The tranny was gone through by an expert and remains stock but rebuilt. I added a new stall converter. The exhaust is new stainless 2 1/2 or 3 inch (I forget) with x pipe and flowmasters. It sounds awesome!! The body on this car looks good. This is how I bought it. It will need paint at some point really up to the buyers discretion. It looks good from 10 feet but certainly has chips and scratches. I replaced the front grill and trim surround. I have new trim for above the doors and rubber door seals not installed. The interior is good as well. Carpet is clean and not worn. Headliner is perfect. The seats fronts are excellent. no tears or scuffs at all. The backs are good but will not stay tucked on the edges. They can be fixed but I have new backs still boxed that come with the car. The rear seat folds fine and has no issues. The dash and gauges are original. They could use a go over or replacement to a buyers taste. Dash lights do work. There is nice patina on much of the interior original chrome. The hood blinkers do work but are faint. As far as work that should be done. The rear frame rails need to be repaired or replaced. The last foot of each side have rust. It can be cut out and a new partial welded in. or the entire rails can be replaced. This is more involved. The crosspiece connecting the rails behind the bumper is also needing replacement. I have these parts and they come with the car. I installed brand new shackles and two complete heavy duty rear spring sets with mounts right after I bought the car so they are good. The headlights are HID I think it is called. They work but once in a while they cause the motor to sputter because they either pull to much power or there is a short somewhere. I have not looked for a short. I think they pull the battery below the power level needed by the distributor to provide proper spark. The alternator is working. I did buy a brushed aluminum higher amp alternator that is still boxed and comes with the car. I was going to return the lights to original. The radio also pulls a big load of power. It is great but ridiculous and I would have removed it eventually. See pics. It came with the car. Overall. this is a good car. I have done most of the drivetrain work and installed a new front suspension and high end brakes. The car does not have power steering or power brakes. I can drive it easily but maybe a buyer would want power steering. Chris Alston Chassis Works does sell kits for this. Power brakes can also be added. I am selling the car because I do have another classic car that is actually done and in show condition. My interest just moved to the second car before I finished the Mustang and I have not gone back. I spent a lot on that car as well and frankly. I have spent enough. If I could do the work myself I would keep both cars. I will say this. although I drive the Camaro to shows etc. . the Mustang is actually more fun. It is a very peppy car and turns heads like crazy. The sound of a small block Ford racing engine is just plain cool and people love it. There is a video link below. I do have other videos available for serious lookers. I have listed this car for sale before at 32. 5K and it was sold at 30K once. so I thought. Please do not make offers if you can not come up with the funds. The price above is a steal for a 1967 fastback. I will require a $1000 deposit amount within 2 days of accepting any offer. The above mileage is believed to be correct for the car. The new engine can't have more than 1000 roughly. This car is sold as is with no warranties. https://youtu. be/RjBoKVhL7Ro
