Title Documentation. Defrost. AM Radio. Heat. Vinyl Interior SELLER REMARKS Ford Falcons represent a lot of car for the money. and this one packs a rumbling 260 from the factory. Aside from a highly detailed engine bay. it's an awesome 75. 00-mile survivor that looks like it's never seen inclement weather in its life. Never mind that it runs like an early Mustang. this is a lot of fun from an unusual source. This bright red hardtop is one nice little sleeper. The Falcon was conservative. yes. but it was also rugged. reliable. and had great familial DNA that made it look like a scale Fairlane. The Rangoon Red paint makes it a flashy machine that gets a lot of attention out on the road. and the preservation of the decades-old paint looks awesome! The shine is far better than you'd expect from 30-year-old enamel. and the car has that all-of-a-piece feel that only unmolested survivors offer. so it works well going down the road. Lots of bright trim ties in with the other Ford products of the era. including the sweeping side trim with a matching red insert. Round taillights continue Ford's fascination with "jet age" styling. and only the "Sprint V8" emblem on the trunk gives away this car's true nature. From behind the wheel. it's easy to see where the Mustang gets its handsome good looks. as the Falcon includes black buckets with a mini console between them. Looking far more upscale than you'd expect. the front buckets wear new seat covers but the rear bench is original and it's in outstanding condition. The dash should look familiar to anyone who's driven a Ford of this vintage. with a wide speedometer flanked by round pods with auxiliary gauges inside. This one also sports a handsome wood-rimmed wheel and with a column shifter. the compact Falcon feels rather spacious. The factory AM radio remains in the dash and works properly. so you at least have something to listen to while you're cruising. In back. there's a trunk that's more spacious than you'd expect. and it comes complete with a correct plaid mat and a full-sized spare tire with cover. The door tag says this one is an F-code. so it originally came with a 260. and that's what's in there today. Recently detailed. it's very authentic looking with black engine enamel. chrome valve covers. and an open-element air cleaner that were all part of the Sprint package. Reproduction decals add a period look. along with stamped radiator hoses and even a generator to make the electricity. Standard cast iron exhaust manifolds feed a single exhaust system. so it sounds modest but the torquey little V8 doesn't seem to need to show off. The rest of the chassis is quite original. but its condition is more proof that this car has lived someplace warm and dry; you can even see original red oxide primer on the floors! Out back. it carries its original 8-inch rear end and the original 14-inch wheels wear wire wheelcovers and 185/80/13 whitewall radials to reinforce the low-key look. A lot of V8 performance in a great-looking package. this Falcon is beautifully preserved and amazingly solid. We haven't seen many nicer than this.
