1936 Ford Four Door Sedan Convertible You are viewing a very nice driver that was restored in the late 60’s and updated and used as a parade car primarily as well as being stored for many years. The car is very original and well preserved. Always garaged. Prior to restoration the car was a low mile car. running and driving in very good condition to start with. The car has been driven on long road trips with 4K miles put on the car in the last 5 years. The odometer works and reads 63. 00 miles and believed to be original miles on the car. Runs and drives excellent and very reliable. Please read on for more particulars of the car: Body/Paint: No rust on the car with all original Henry factory steel. The body is very straight and crisp. The paint is Washington Blue and original to the car. Single stage enamel. The paint is in very good condition with a nice finish and shows well. A few chips that have been repaired. Fender skirts that match the car not installed. but come with the car. Interior: The interior is original and was updated with a new interior in 2010 (5 years). The front carpet piece was not replaced with the original in good condition at the time. but has detreated and was replaced with a piece of regular carpet. This piece needs to be replaced and is available aftermarket. The rear carpet was replaced when the interior was redone in 2010. The interior is in very good condition and shows well. All gauges work. stock heater works well. radio is stock with original speaker under dash. It was totally restored and worked 5 years ago. but stopped working. Possible it is something minor. The dash and gauges are original and unrestored and show very well. Vacuum wipers as original. Turns signals. Top: The top was replaced in 2010 when the interior was redone. The frame and bows are very nice and presentable. The B pillar post are stored and come with the car. The top folds back to expose the driver’s seat while staying up for the rear. Unique feature on 4 dr Sedan convertibles. Running Gear: Engine is original to the car and runs excellent and does not burn any oil. It was totally rebuilt when the car was restored with under 10K miles. The original air cleaner is not installed. but comes with the car. Stromberg 97 carb. stock points. 6 volt with 8 volt battery. which is brand new. Original heater catch horn installed and operational. The 3 speed transmission has been totally rebuilt 1 year ago with new clutch. Shifts excellent. Steering box was also rebuilt 1 year ago. Stock radiator. which was rebuilt. The rear end is stock with new 370 gears installed for hiway use just a few years back. Electric fuel pump installed for reliability. Suspension: Stock and original that is in very good condition. Bright work: Stainless and chrome in overall very good condition. The bumpers look very good. The door handles and a few other items are original and showing signs of wear. but very presentable. Glass: Front windshield has been replaced and in excellent condition. The front side glass has also been replaced. The rear side glass is original and shows some signs of delam. Exhaust: Good operational condition. Brakes: 3 years ago the brakes were gone through with added equalizer and soft brake linings that make the original mechanical brakes work like juice brakes. It stops excellent and can lock up all 4 tires. Wheels/Tires: Stock wheels including the spare with good tires with lots of rubber. The beauty rings and caps are original 36 Ford in very good condition. Summary: This car represents a very good driver showing some very nice patina in some areas. The paint is one of the better parts of the car. Great for cruising with the family and grandkids and parades. road trips. etc. A great car for the money.
