Description for GMC Other 1970
Be someone's knight in shining pickup truck with this all original 1970 GMC C-1500 Custom Pickup available now in our Milwaukee Showroom. Consider yourself lucky to have found this time warp of a Pickup. The kind of find you envy on all the car rebuilding and customizing T.V. shows. Where do they get these 'barn find' original kind of vehicles? How do they know what vehicle will command the attention and numbers? Well the true enthusiast knows they start with the right vehicle. This 1970 GMC C-1500 Custom is that vehicle. Sunkist Orange and lightly patenaed just the right amount in just the right places. Where most truck owners tend to alter or modify changing long beds to short beds and replacing a 6 cylinders to big blocks it has become a challenge for the numbers matching, factory perfect restorer to find the pedigree to work with. Since the availability of these classic trucks has turned increasingly difficult to acquire, especially in the rarer GMC over the common Chevy. Not for you, you found it right here. Never customized, modified or redone and numbers matching. It's just like you'd expect if you went back to the mid '70's. Sitting on the new beautiful embossed black vinyl bench seat you can almost hear "FreeBird" playing from the radio as you sit waiting for your load of mulch filling the 8' wood bed, both of which are rare options to find. The interior has been freshened up with new black vinyl headliner, new black carpet and new embossed black door panels to match the new bench seating. All complimented by the body color Sunkist Orange dash and doors. Drive it every day if you like, with the original 350 CID L48 engine synonymous with performance, horse power and reliability you're sure to enjoy the throaty and intoxicating nostalgia feel this truck commands. 4x2, ½ ton with a 6 x 5.5" bolt pattern and a TH350 transmission to turn those original white walls and very cool original GMC hubcaps. All the right touches are there to make it period correct with an A pillar mounted spot light, diamond plated rear bumper, the over cautious side marker lights that seem to multiply. The Sunkist Orange is paired with a Polar White cab and lower rocker panel. Even the tailgate has a faux wood panel. The stance is athletic and proper with bushy eyebrows of chrome over the duel headlamps. Maintenance has been kept up which includes new front wheel cylinders, master cylinder and front brake hoses. Carburetor was cleaned with the additions of new gaskets and internal parts. Cruise cool with new air conditioning that was upgraded with a present day compressor, new hoses and expansion valve. All fluids and filters have been replaced too. More of a living room find than a barn find, but a find none the less. With early 70's pickup trucks current scarcity this 1970 GMC C-1500 Custom Pickup isn't for the penurious but rather the educated contrarian. But watch your review mirror, one of those TV shows and their camera crew may try to stop you and pry this one from your garage.
