Description for GMC Sierra 1500 1984
This 1984 GMC Sierra Classic 1500 is the long bed classic pickup with a cool look, proper V8 power, automatic transmission, and all the right features. So it's hard to resist a vintage truck like this, especially at this obtainable price. There's an honest attitude that this one instantly gives off, and that's exactly what you want from GM's brand that only makes workmen vehicles. The long bed, towing mirrors, bed rails and bright rear step bumper all continue this feeling of a classic that wants to earn its keep. Plus, there are some terrific extras, like the thick rubber mat in the bed and a Protech locking toolbox that lets you securely carry all your necessary tools. There's even a proper trailer hitch with wiring plug. This is finished in its original two-tone application. There's room left in the budget if you want to do a respray down the road. But it's already hard to deny that the black and silver has a classic appeal to represent a pickup of this era.
The interior has the feeling of a comfortable classic. It starts with the recently re-covered bench seat done in gray velour. This one comes with all the best factory features, and so it remains quite attractive today. It includes power windows, power locks, cruise control, and the correct Delco AM/FM stereo. There are even provisions for R134a air conditioning (may need servicing to blow ideally cold.) And we particularly like how this generation GMC has the instruments wrap around the driver almost like a sports car.
Under the hood is a tidy looking 305 cubic inch V8. While this is the correct-style powerhouse for this generation pickup, this one is actually a younger Jasper replacement motor. So you have the right power in a fresher package. Plus, there are newer maintenance items such as plugs, wires, belts, hoses, and the HEI ignition. It's a well-done motor that particularly loves to run thanks to the upgraded Jasper three-speed transmission. Add in power steering and power brakes w/discs up front, this is a useful vintage truck that's easy for trips near or far.
This is a versatile and a loaded classic pickup. So you know you want to get your hands on it right now. Call today!!!
