For sale is my one of a kind, ustom built from the ground up 1985 Jeep CJ7. The Jeep is sitting on a redesigned 1979 K5 Blazer frame with full sized 6 lug axles and running gear. Chevy 350 v8 engine which runs super super strong and a smooth th350 automatic transmission. This Jeep is NOT a cheap, ackyard hack job build. The pictures do not do it justice. It also has NOT been off-roaded to death. I have owned over 15 CJ's and this build has been done right. All of the body mounts have been custom made to fit the Jeep body. The frame itself has been shortened slightly (pictured) to fit the Jeep size. Rancho suspension and steering stabilizers. The Jeep drives as good as any old Jeep of this size can drive. I just drove it 115 miles at 75 mph and had zero issues, t does great on the highway. It is currently my daily driver and is definitely a head turner and attention getter. People love to take pictures and ask questions about it.
The body of the Jeep itself has some patched rust areas in the floors mainly which are pictured. The paint is a good 5 foot paint job, eaning up close it's not perfect. The tub has been rhino lined inside to prevent any rust. The floors have been cut out and new ones rewelded in at some point. I will be including the hardtop and a set of full hard doors also. I just installed a new marine Pioneer radio and new Pioneer speakers. There is an aftermarket water temperature and oil pressure gauge. The speedometer is inoperable due to the cable needing to be hooked up. The dash lights and heater work. The driver's side seat is not matching to the passenger side and rear seat. There is a locking center console with a key installed. Also, he tail lights are LED as well as the blinkers, unning lights, nd license tag lights.
As far as the running gear, have nothing negative to say about it. The 350 engine is extremely strong and has never let me down; the same goes for the th350 transmission. No slips or weird noises, ery smooth in all gears. The engine is all stock with the exception of an Edelbrock carburetor and side exit dual exhaust. It holds great oil pressure and runs very cool even on the hottest days. The bottom side of the engine and transmission is bone dry, o leaks at all (see pictures). The grease fitting on the front axle will drip a drop or two when parked for over 24 hours. Of course, he Jeep does have power steering. The steering box is the factory k5 blazer box with custom made power steering lines. The 4wd also works although I have never had to use. I do not take this Jeep offroading. It was built for more of a show vehicle and that's what I use it for. To cruise around through the mountains in and enjoy it. I do not abuse my vehicles and I'm not much into four wheeling. The Jeep sits on a nice set of 15" grey/black metallic American Racing wheels and rolls on 35x12.50 BFG Mud Terrain tires. The front have about 60% tread left but the back's have at least 90%.
