Description for International Harvester Other 1954
I have a 1954 International Truck up for bid. It is in great shape and ready for restoration. The 220 straight 6 runs well. It doesn't make any noise and does not smoke. It has a vacuum leak or something so maybe the carb needs to be rebuilt, but it is pumping gas from the tank and I've been able to drive it around the yard. The 4 speed trans seems to be working well in 1st, 2nd and Reverse but that is all I've had the guts to try as the brakes need work. I had them working pretty well, but then the front left wheel cylinder blew and I haven't had time to change it. Brakes will be an easy fix.Has a 12v alternator and it is charging. None of the other electronics are working though. I would think a new wire harness is in order but all the correct items are in place. Truck is very complete. No real rust to speak of other than the passenger rear cab corner. Floors are good, bed is good. A little rust where the running boards meet the rear fenders, but very minor. Drivers running board is in great shape. Passenger had someone cut the top valence off. The good news is that the tread is in good shape and the valence is just flat metal and could be easily fabricated.Stock seat base and spring is here, but needs covering. Every piece of glass is broken on this truck. The truck runs and drives, but not roadworthy. And for shipping purposes, I'd say it does NOT run and drive. It needs a battery andthe brake work, makes it hard to drive onto a trailer. Here is a link to a quick video of it running:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6NorSQDpoYTake a look and let me know if you have any questions.Clear title.Feel free to call, text or email with questions.
