Description for International Harvester Scout 1977
1977 International Scout IIStarts, Runs, and Drives.
Clear Title
Highly Optioned Example, Good Restoration Candidate.
Comes with receipts totaling thousands of dollars, dating back about 20 years.
The Scout Tent is included with this sale, and will not be sold separately.
One Owner from 1977 - 2017 until purchased from the original owner's representative/mechanic/neighbor.
Has body rust, Transmission leak (but it shifts fine), Soft brake pedal (but it stops), Steering has a vague feel and the Exhaust has a noticeable rumble. I have no doubt that there are other things that may need attention if the intent is to drive it to work every day or to restore it, these are just the issues that come to mind. Doors need alignment, particularly the right side door. The Air Conditioning system appears to be complete, is not blowing cold though. This Scout was equipped with Cruise Control, I do not know if it works. It has Tilt Steering Wheel, Power Brakes, and Power Steering, Front Bumper Guards, Spoke Wheels, Engine Heater, and Roof Rack. The hard top is completely removable, making it a full convertible. Has a fresh oil change.
I have sold a few of my vehicles on eBay in the past and am usually asked whether they can be driven some extended distance so the bidder can get it home. To those sorts of questions, I say this: If you are not local, my strongest recommendation would be to play it safe and hire an auto transporter or tow it home on a trailer yourself. I have no idea how far it can be driven. This is a 40-year-old Scout, which one would expect to be tedious at best on an extended trip at interstate speeds.
I will not ship this vehicle myself or make shipping arrangements for the winning bidder. I will, however, meet your shipper at my home as my schedule allows, and will hand over the keys and title after the truck has been paid for in full (I have done this before). Money Orders or Cashiers Checks or Personal Checks will not be accepted as payment. $500 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of end of auction. Balance to be paid in Cash or by PayPal. Balance due within 7 days of end of auction.
Low feedback bidders or bidders with negative feedback should contact me prior to bidding, otherwise I will have to cancel their bids. Thank you for your understanding.
You are bidding to buy, not to come inspect it and kick the tires after you have won the auction. Respect my time, please, and I will respect yours.
I have had 100% Positive Feedback for 17 years. Ask questions and bid with confidence.
