Condition
Body
This Scout is mostly rust-free and the frame is in excellent condition. Some of the body panels have been replaced, including the bed floor. The cab floor has been patched in some areas. The body has a 10 year old amateur white paint job (original color was dark orange). All of the exterior lighting works except for the reverse lights.
Drivetrain
The engine runs great and has good compression. It always starts right up and doesn't overheat. The radiator and radiator hoses are new. It has the correct Robert Shaw style 180° thermostat and the original Holley 2210C carburetor. The ignition has been upgraded to an integrated HEI system. The transmission shifts decent, but the 2nd gear synchronizer is worn. The clutch was just adjusted following the procedure in the IH factory service manual.
Interior
There is new carpet inside the cab. The seat has been recently recovered. Some of the dash lights are burned out. Door panels are covered in vinyl and I have a spare set of metal door panels. The original AM radio and single dash speaker is installed and functional. Holes have been cut in the top behind the seat for 5.25" speakers, but they are not installed. Dome and courtesy lights work when turned on from the headlight switch, but the door switches need to be replaced. All of the gauges function. Heat and blower work as well. The seat belts outer retractors are installed, but the mating belts are missing.
Spare parts are included. This includes some carburetor parts, a vent window, mirrors, and some interior parts. I have the original radiator (wasn't leaking when removed) that I can include. I have the original wheels, but they need to be sand blasted and repainted. The original ignition harness is included if someone wants to convert it back to the stock system. I have 3 of the original hub caps (missing one of the fronts).
I've tried to list everything that I know about the truck. If you have any further questions, contact me and I can elaborate on anything. The truck is 43 years old and therefore is sold as is. $500 deposit required within 24 hours of auction end. Cashier checks will be accepted, but they must clear first or be made at a local bank that the seller can witness.
I misidentified the transfer case in the original posting as a Dana 300. It has the year correct Dana 20 transfer case.
