Description for Jaguar E-Type 1971
You are bidding on a 1971 Series 2 Jaguar XKE convertible. This is a very solid southern car. It has the 4.2L 6 cylinder engine with 4 speed manual transmission, ower steering, ir conditioning, nd chrome wire wheels. The car was originally Sable with Cinnamon interior and black top. The Heritage Trust Certificate shows the Following from their factory records: Jaguar E-Type Series 2 4.2 Litre Open 2 Seater Left Hand Drive Date of Manufacture: June 29, 970 Chassis number: P2R 12470 Engine Number: 7R13561-9 Body Number: 4R 9049 Gear Box Number: KE 15943 Color: Sable Interior Color: Cinnamon Soft Top : Black Original Distributor: British Leyland, ew York, SA Date of Dispatch: September 14, 970 The car had been with the previous family since the mid 1970’s. It is all matching numbers and still has the body tag under the bonnet. The interior appears to be all original. The spare tire, ack, ack bag, ammer and wire wheel knock off tool are all in the trunk along with the original owner’s manual. The floors are very solid as is the trunk and bonnet. This car is not totally rust free but it has very, ery little rust. The rust is mainly the bottom of the outer door skins, nd a small amount on the bottom of the outer rockers. The car is really unbelievable. The car has been sitting for approximately 2-3 years and does start and idle. It will take gear and move under its own power but I have not driven it. All the gauges appear to work as they should and the engine has good oil pressure. This is a great car as it is or a great car for a concourse restoration. This car is registered with XKEdata.com and was first registered in August of 2010. I have the Heritage Certificate Documenting the car, nd a clear Tennessee Title. The car is selling with NO RESERVE! It is located near Knoxville TN. Please feel free to email or call me any time at 865-621-4012 with any questions.
