Description for Jeep Wagoneer 1987
1987
Jeep 4x4
Grand Wagoneer
VIN: 1JCNJ15U7HT101999
I'm often asked where we find these clean, nique vehicles. One of my best friends cruises parking lots of retirement homes, lks clubs, he V.F.W. Halls and the back streets of a well-known Scandinavian neighborhood here in North Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a door a mile away... He'll notice when a nice old car or truck is driving with a turn signal left on just a little too long and he positively twitches with glee when a vehicle with metal bumpers passes by! If you're in the market for a clean, ccident-free vintage SUV please give this Grand Wagoneer your kind attention. Feel free to contact me with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the Ebay auction listing. My name is Mark Thompson and I can be reached directly at 206/914-1173.
CONDITION:
The photos really do tell the story. This rig has spent much, f not all, f it's life here in the Great Pacific Northwest and has been driving our salt-free western Washington roads for many years. From the pictures you'll see it has obviously been well cared for over its lifetime. We've found absolutely NO evidence of any accidents, ody or storm damage, nsurance salvage, heft recovery, epossession or any other nasty negatives to cause you concern as the next new owner!
I take pride in our vehicles and feel that you should know as much about them as possible. Accordingly, ere's a list of the good and also any small things possibly needing attention: The four wheel drive system works just as it should. With a flip of a switch the drive train goes to full 4x4 mode, o most of the time you'll be in 2WD and not wearing out the strong Dana 44 front axle components during summertime highway use. The overall exterior is in very good condition. When was the last time you saw factory original Marchal fog lamps still on the front bumper of a Jeep? This Grand Wagoneer has them and wears the original dark blue factory paint color, aving had one good quality re-spray. It holds a shine perfectly with absolutely no breakdown of the clearcoat (a very common issue on Wagoneers). Both the factory original Marine Teak woodgrain vinyl and the trim are great. Rust? Well, his classic Jeep HATES rust and you'd be hard pressed to find ANY here to worry about! Because we rarely get snow in western Washington and Oregon, ur winter roads are never salted. Climb over, nder and throughout this SUV - I know you'll come up smiling! All new exhaust is clearly pictured.
All the expected options on this rig. There's a tilt steering column, ower steering, rakes, ower door locks and electric windows (all can typically be a bit slow on the uptake, ut work). The tailgate glass goes up/down by inserting the door key in the tailgate lock but doesn't respond to the dash switch. All carpets are clean and in very good condition as pictured. I'd suggest having the air conditioning serviced before next summer as it doesn't blow very cold. I believe every Grand Wagoneer came with large front disk brakes in 1987 and these stop just fine with no pulling or binding. All four factory alloy wheels are wrapped with 235/75R15 all-weather radials and have at least 50% remaining tread. Our shop did a complete tune-up and oil change. This included new sparkplugs, il and filters. Both the front and rear differentials were also checked and fresh gear oil added as needed.
Please take another look at the interior shots. The original leather upholstery is sound on both front buckets and the rear seat. There are NO cracks in the dash cover. Headliners always seem to be a problem for Grand Wagoneers. Virtually every one you'll find has warped cardboard with the material coming unglued and sagging. This headliner is in perfect condition. All of the door panels have stood the test of time and are in great shape. You'll be quite impressed with the dash gauges. They're as clear and bright as the day this rig left the dealership nearly 29 years ago! If you're thinking about a comparable Chevy Suburban or Ford Bronco of similar vintage, ou really owe it to yourself to look over and drive this unique piece first! About the only other things I can think to point out is some slight engine rattle at higher rpms, ut I've been driving the Grand Wagoneer almost daily and feel confident in it. I had the AM-FM/CD faceplate stored in the glovebox when taking the photos and it's included in the sale. Please remember no vintage used car or truck is ever perfect. You're welcome and encouraged to come by my Auburn, A warehouse to look over and drive the Jeep. Ebay can also provide a list of independent inspectors if you're outside the area to do this for you. I will be providing a free and clear title and a Bill of Sale with the vehicle. There are NO title brands of any kind listed.
Because of the amount of money involved in buying a vehicle, e require that Ebay members with a feedback history of five or fewer transactions call or email before placing a bid. If I don't have this initial contact, our bid may be cancelled. As I've outlined above, he phone number to talk directly to me is 206/914-1173. Please feel free to call any time during the auction. My name is MARK THOMPSON. Don't hesitate to call and make an offer as many of my vehicles do sell to a smart "early bird"that calls to work out a deal prior to the auction's end. I always reserve the right to sell during this period.
A Few Additional Terms and Conditions:
A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction's conclusion. The balance is due by cash or certified funds within seven business days unless prior arrangements have been made with me. I can accept PAYPAL, ut if you plan to pay any more than the deposit through them I'll first need to invoice you and ask that you cover the 3.5% fee charged. Please remember you are bidding to buy and I fully expect the winning bidder to fulfill their Ebay contract! You're not bidding to hold or then come inspect and test-drive the vehicle later -- You're more than welcome to do this before the auction ends.
If you decide to have theGrand Wagoneer transported home, here are scores of companies to choose from. I ship vehicles regularly and suggest that you get a transport bid from Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS). They're EBay's preferred transporter and will give you a fair quote. Callmy designatedrep, rad Simon, t (908)290-1575 and give himmy affiliate number (2362642). Hecan then pull up all our information for a station-to-station or even door-to-door quote.
As an alternative, ou might also get bids from the U-Ship.com website. You'll be able to choose a transport broker from multiple offers. The zip code for pick-up would be 98002 (Auburn, ashington). The shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER.
TheJeep can be stored free of charge at my location for up to two weeks after the auction ends assuming full payment has been received. After that period storage is $20 per day. Though I have NO doubts about the vehicle's road-worthiness or ability to easily manage a long-distance road trip, t is being sold "as-is, here-is" . All information described above is based on the observed condition when thelisting was placed. I've done my very best to describe the Grand Wagoneer as honestly as possible and encourage bidders to contact me with questions. On Dec-22-15 at 11:00:33 PST, eller added the following information:I forgot to include above that the gas and temp gauges do not read accurately. Most likely just an inexpensive sending unit replacement or maybe even a loose wire as both work but don't give correct measurements --Mark.
