New Black Upholstery(disregard previous grey upholstery picture) and relatively fresh respray(paint is shiny all over)This 1988 Land Rover 110 variant was manufactured under license in Spain by Land Rover Santana SA Motors.their designation is Santana 3500 in part to the Land Rover 3.5 NA 6cyl diesel engine. This vehicle came from the arid part of Spain around the Valencia area.(hence the lack of rust) Improvements by Santana includes more reliable electric components, stronger welds, catalyticconverters, parabolic spring, anti-sway bars,and the LT85 transmission which was developed by Santana. Land Rover purchased LT85 gearboxes directly from Santana for its V8 110 and 90s between 1984 and 1991. This Land Rover is in great condition with no structural rust and other than a few surface spots here and there. Frame is completely solid rarely found in UK built models. Still has its original carpet which is barely worn.This 110 has new Imsa Turbo Sahara tires.Brand new black upholstery. Recent respray. Power steering, power brakes, new genuine shocks all around. Previous owner did a new timing belt service, brake service and replaced clutch.It was cared for by its one previous owner and kept garaged. This is not a restoration and as a 30 year old car is in great shape.Speedometer is in kilometers. The keys are worn as well as some window channels. The car is sold with a clean Florida title in my name.Legally imported and all customs taxes paid, federal and state inspected as well as Spain ITV, and given a clean bill of health.

In 1962 the company became responsible for promoting the Santana and Land Rover brands in the Central and South American Markets as well as Africa, is just like Defenders, make sure it is original! Main pro for them is the condition. Pretty much all of Spain is a sunshine country and that means no salt used on the roads unlike UK. They are capable vehicles especially the later ones on parabolic. Parts are not hard to find! Many are cross over parts.Rovers North in USA and parts paddocks in the UK, Estanfi in Spain. Wind up windows from 1980.This Defender also has the Santana gear box that Land Rover later adopted for the V8( LT85 five speed).Considered by many to be actually better quality build than the Land Rover. You can see the rust condition on those Defenders imported from Germany, England and Italy, the chassis and body are full of rust because of the snow and salt.
