Description for Land Rover Range Rover 1992

Somewhat reluctantly listing my 1992 Range Rover Classic (RRC) for sale. The truck is SWB finished in original Westminster Grey paint with grey leather interior. Overall cosmetic condition is good, with wear evident throughout, consistent with a 25 year old PNW utility vehicle with >200k miles. From constantly looking at older Land Rover (RRCs and Discos) on craigslist, I can tell you this one is well above the average ragged out basketcase. I purchased it in January 2016 from the Portland area; previous title was from Seattle. Since then I've done a steady stream of repairs/upgrades and preventative maintenance which is pretty much the way I do it with all my cars. Quality parts and fluids, well researched, no shortcuts. I have used it mostly to run errands around Corvallis, play in the snow, and to get my mountain bike to various valley trailheads.
Service history
Previous owner: Said he did the head gaskets but no documentation. He put in a nice new headliner and recovered driver arm rest.
January 2016: adjusted p/s door handle. Freed seized rear wiper motor. New wiper blades. Reset emissions reminder. New stereo head unit (bluetooth, USB, etc.) & speakers.
February 2016: Cleaned, lubed, adjusted lift gate locks. New rear bumper & end panel. Added aux fuse panel with 12V sockets & LED work light in rear cargo area. New air filter. Extensive work to seal liftgate and cargo area - no more leaks. New latch spring left rear door.
March 2016: Added keyless entry, new door lock actuator, cleaned/lubed all locks. Oil changed 217,760mi. Lubri-Moly 10W40 full synth, Napa Gold 1068 filter, new crush washer. Removed front spoiler and fog lights, fabricated aluminum license plate bracket for bumper.
April 2016: full heater box rebuild- new blower motor, heater core, seals, heater switch, fancy AB upgraded blower resistor, all new cooling hoses, genuine thermostat (if you are not aware of the scope of blower motor replacement, google it). Repaired chewed and arced heater wiring. Sea foam in the gas tank. New alt and water pump belts (Duralast).
April 2016: Bypassed front window motor 'one touch control'. Wired like the other windows now. Replaced rear hatch shock strut and moved clip over.
May 2016: New OEM clear expansion tank, GMB water pump, GMB fan clutch. New power steering belt (Duralast).
June 2016: new tag light bulb
August 2016: POR15 all spots in cargo area.
September 2016: Added missing front speaker grills. New (used) horns. Fabricated battery hold down bracket. Retensioned belts. Set of 5 Yokohama geolandar at/s 215/85r16. Replaced bent wheel with spare, replaced spare with good used wheel (poor paint match to main wheels).
October 2016: POR15 on front foot wells, hood, battery area. Sealed footwell seams. New Hella H4 headlamps & bulbs, wired using Daniel Stern relay kit, all new heavy gauge wires and connectors. New steering shaft and isolator.
April 2017: new aux fuse box under hood.
May 2017: pulled rear driveshaft to test VC- still drives fine so it's in working order. Changed t-case fluid Chevron DEX3. Changed front and rear diff oil valvoline 80w90.
June 2017: new t-case mounts and Jaguar v12 engine mounts.
Good/bad
Here are the high points of this truck: Nice condition overall, but not so nice you can't use it. The common big jobs have been tackled: Heater box rebuild, all new cooling system, fresh headliner, water sealing and rust preventative. Rust situation is either not bad or under control in the common spots. Floorboards are solid (surface & seam rust treated), cargo space has one baseball sized spot that you would call slightly more than surface rust; fully coated in POR15, but otherwise very solid. Tailgates are in good shape. Upgraded headlights, aux power, and work lights for convenience & safety. Modern comforts like keyless and new stereo. Interior in worn but highly presentable shape. Power seats, windows, mirrors all work. Rear wiper works. Basically brand new all terrain tires (full set of 5) in the best size for an RRC - tall and skinny. These are very close in size/appearance to the tires used on camel trophy vehicles. Engine and running gear are strong, no funny noises, good power, rock solid temp gauge, no lights on the dash, etc.
In the interest of full disclosure, here are the low points: Clearcoat on the roof starting to go. D/S front turn signal lens cracked. Interior wood is cracked. Center console window switch panel separated (they all do this). Some cracks in the console hard plastic. Sunroof motor turns but does not actuate anything; glass can be raised/lowered with a screwdriver. Power gas lid pop is missing the actuator (it says closed though). Trip odo stopped turning awhile back. A/C belt not installed. Some rock chips in the windshield. Only a few rear defrost lines work. One of the lock actuators had been intermittent in the summer heat (a new one included with sale). There are more things that aren't perfect; it's a 25 year old classic.
Included extras: Owners manual, bulbs, spare fuses, spare brake switch, and whatever other small parts I have around. Spare (6th) wheel, bent but usable. Original dog guard (rare). Original spare cover and load space cover (rare). Air dam and fog lights (not currently installed). Thule rack not included but available separately for $150. I'm keeping the plates to transfer to another vehicle.
