Description for Lincoln Continental 1965
This auction is for a 1965 Lincoln Continental Suicide 4 Door Sedan. It has the original 430 V-8, Barrel with Dual Exhaust. Only 76,602 Original Miles. Has Automatic Transmission that was rebuilt in 1988. Havereceipts. At that time the car had just under 71,000 miles. Motor runs excellent, ransmission shifts in all the gears great but brakes are down from sitting. The car has been inside storage since 1992 when it was put up by the prior owner as he had health issues. I brought the car home, hanged the oil, ut in a fresh battery and I hooked up a boat tank for fresh fuel source and the car started and ran like it was running yesterday. I have yard driven the car but am careful because there are no brakes at the moment. With ourschedulebeing so busy, am going to advertise the car the way it sits. The only thing I can see from driving it is checking out the brake situation. The body on the car is in real decent shape. Nice straight lines. All fit on doors, ood and trunk are beautiful. The carreceivedone paint job way back when and its still holding up well. There is some rust bubbling on the lower rear quarters and on both front fenders. Looks like a fairly easy fix and you can just blend in the areas after. The underside is in great shape. Still has all the factory undercoating. Exhaust system on both sides was replaced just before it was stored away. I tried all theelectrical sand everything works except for the original radio. That was disconnected as they had put in an aftermarket stereo in the glove box that was later removed. I believe if you hooked the radio up it would play. All the glass in the car is tinted and in good shape. Interior is very respectable would just need a light shampooing. Dash, oor panels and carpet in good shape also. There are a couple of holes in the headliner. You could cosmetically repair them without replacing. Chrome trim and stainless is in above average condition. Battery is not included. As far as Iam concerned, he 1965 Lincoln was the prettiest suicide door Lincoln. I have seen them done nice original and they also look nice with a two tone roof color and a set of fancy wheels. With a little elbow grease you could make this a really nice car. We have set a very low reserve so bid to win. Please be serious in following through with the sale should you be the winning bidder. We reserve the right to end the auction in case of a local sale. If the car meets reserve we will let the auction run to the end to be fair to all bidders.
